Detailed 5-Day Masai Mara Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to a Hotel in Nairobi
On your first day, you will arrive at the airport, where your driver-guide will meet you. You will then drive to your hotel in Nairobi for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara – Big Five & Wildebeests
After breakfast, travel with your driver-guide from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve in Narok County. The drive takes about five to six hours in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, relax, and then go for an afternoon game drive in the open plains.
Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the day exploring Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives. You will see animals such as elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, impalas, and jackals.
If you visit between July and September, you may witness the great wildebeest migration when thousands of animals cross the Mara River in search of fresh grass and water.
Day 4: Another Full Day in Masai Mara
