10 Days Best of Kenya Safari (Big Cats, Big 5 & Leisure)

Detailed Itinerary

Day1: Pick up in Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara national reserve

Have a warm welcome from the driver guide where you will encounter a briefing about this amazing 10 Days Best of Kenya Safari. This will include the dos and don’ts to follow while on this tour, requirements to use, tipping emphasized, and many more. Begin your way to Masai Mara national reserve one of the largest conservation areas in Kenya. This is a great host for the wildebeest migration that comes to and from Serengeti national park of Tanzania. Apart from. The wildebeests, the park is home to the big mammals including the big five animals. Arrive and check-in at the lodge for your accommodations.

Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara exploration (game drives and Masai cultural experience)

During these great two days (the second and third day), penetrate the interior of Masai Mara national reserve where you will encounter different wild animals through game drives. Animals that will be discovered here are lions, wildebeest, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, leopards, Masai giraffes and many more others. Also, great moments such as wildebeest migrations, picnic lunches, animals giving birth, predators hunting the predators and many more. You will also visit the Masai homesteads where you will take part in discovering one of the unique African cultures known as pastoralists. Taste their dishes, and milk and take part in the music dance and drama which will be an amazing moment.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park

Be served breakfast on this fourth day and then transfer to Lake Nakuru national park. Enjoy the steep Valleys of the Great Rift Valley and the great view of Mt Longonot. An optional stopover will be for buying some souvenirs. Arrive at lake Nakuru national park a protected area is known for homing large numbers of flamingoes that turn the ground reddish brown. Arrival and check-in for accommodation, lunch be served and refreshments as you take an evening game drive where you will meet wild animals such as lions, rhinos, giraffes, leopards, elephants, hippos and many more others.

Day 5: To Lake Naivasha

Have a morning game drive and proceed to Lake Naivasha National Park with the option of taking an afternoon boat cruise or choosing to relax at the pool of the lodge. This park gets its name from Naivasha Lake which means “rough water” by the locals. This park is one of the most visited national parks in Kenya. Animals in this park are giraffes, zebras, buffalos, birds like the African spoonbill, little greb, gonolek and many others.

Day 6: Visit Hell’s gate national park

Visit the only national park in Kenya with ought predators and this will be Hell’s gate national park which lies south of Lake Naivasha Kenya. This park was established in 1984 and named after a narrow break in the cliffs. You will take a full-day game drive where you will be in a position to spot animals like zebras, giraffes, buffalos, rhinos and many more. Have a wonderful moment as you enjoy the picnic lunch in the wilderness. Check in the lodge booked and this will be the end of the day.

Day 7: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Day 8: Amboseli National Park full day

Rise up early and take a morning game drive to catch up with early risers and great views of Mt Kilimanjaro before the clouds cover the peak. There will be an option of taking a full-day game drive. The plains or having a break at the lodge and then the afternoon game drive will be another dose of encountering wildlife. This park will offer a chance to come closer to the elephants which are not in any other African protected area. Wild animals that will be spotted, are leopards, cheetahs, Wild dogs, Buffalo, giraffes, Zebra, lions, crocodiles, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudu and many more. Return to the lodge for your second last night.

Day 9: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park

Wake up early for a morning game drive before the sun hits the dew and then breakfast will be served after a 2 hours adventure in the park plains. Check out and head to Tsavo West national park with animals like Lions, leopards, Cheetahs, jackals, African wild dogs, Hyenas which are carnivals, hippos, buffalos, rhinos, elephants and many more. You will arrive and take an evening game drive and this will be the end of the day after checking in at the lodge.

Day 10: Game drive and transfer back to Nairobi with a drop-off at the airport

Have a morning game drive to spot more of the missed wildlife and this will be concluded on the return to the lodge for breakfast and packing. Check out and head back to Nairobi this will be the end of the 10 days Kenya safari with a drop-off at the airport for your flight back home.
