Detailed tour.
Day 1: Depart Nairobi city for Masai Mara National Reserve. Afternoon game drive
A professional driver guide will meet you at the designated pickup location, greet you, and check your documentation. From there, travel for 5 to 6 hours, descending the enormous rift valley, to the Masai Mara National reserve, where you will stop for some photos. The world’s largest valley looks breathtaking from the outside.
Continue your gorgeous trip to the reserve after your little period of photographing. Arrive at the lodge, eat lunch, and then go on a game drive at sunset for a chance to see animals returning to their abodes for the night, including rhinos, buffalos, and other animals. The evening’s final activities include a campfire at sunset, if one is provided, food, and a nap.
Day 2: Full day game drive
Today will be spent on a daytime safari drive. At dawn from around 6:30 a.m. to around 10 a.m., concluding with a bush breakfast. Depending on how lucky you are, this time of year presents a fantastic opportunity to come across night hunters returning to their homes, including shy hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, and more.
After lunch break, you’ll complete the day with a game drive in the afternoon during which you’ll see grazers making their final journeys back to their homes. Animals such as wildebeests, buffaloes, leopards, zebras, warthogs, etc. are likely to be encountered. Additionally, you will travel to Mara River, where more than 2,000 wildebeests compete with hippos and crocodiles for access to new pasture in Kenya. You may alternatively go on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch and a bush breakfast. End this day with dinner and overnight night.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
At dawn, fill yourself on a hearty breakfast at the lodge before leaving for Lake Nakuru National Park, a sanctuary of flamingos and other aquatic species. Before making a tardy arrival at the lodge, where you will check in for dinner and a restful nap, you will stop for a break along the way at a location determined by the driver-guide.
Day 4: Full day game drive
Start this day with a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge and a 2 to 3 hours’ wildlife drive across the park. Among Lake Nakuru’s prominent inhabitants are black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, warthogs, and other animals. The day’s first activity will be a wildlife game drive, which will be followed by lunch and a birding excursion along the shores of enormous Lake Nakuru. The pink flamingoes gather to the coastlines, where they sunbathe, play and engage in other activities. After a long day of activities, the evening will bring a delicious meal and restful sleep.
Day 5: End of safari
The lodge’s mouthwatering breakfast is the perfect way to start the day. Drop-off journey, which takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach Nairobi begins. If there is time, you can go on a city tour, visit the craft markets for souvenirs, take a tour to the national museum and traditional sites. On the way, lunch will be provided.
End of safari.
