This 7 days Uganda tour highlights an awesome experience with the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park, a game viewing experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park and a mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

7 Day Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

This 7 days Uganda classic safari begins with an early breakfast at your lodge or hotel or rather an early morning pick up from Entebbe International Airport. A tour guide from our company shall pick you up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park having lunch en route in Fort Portal. We should arrive in the national park in the evening, have dinner and retire to rest as we prepare for a Chimpanzee trekking experience the next day.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale

After having an early morning breakfast, we shall head to the park headquarters for a short briefing session before rolling out to the forests for a Chimpanzee trekking experience. This experience should take you between 2 to 8 hours depending on how long it takes to locate the Chimpanzees inclusive of a full hour encounter with these primates. We shall then return to the lodge for lunch then proceed for an afternoon walk at Bigodi Swamp where we should see various species of birds.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Rise to an early morning breakfast and head for a 3 – 4 hours game drive in Mweya where we shall have sights of various wildlife species and birds. We shall return for lunch before heading for a boat ride on Kazinga Channel –
a haven of various species of birds. Over 70% of the total wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park can be spotted along this channel hence, a perfect opportunity for you to take lifetime photographs.

Day 4: Game drive and Kyambura Gorge Experience

After having an early morning breakfast, you will get on a game drive towards the Kasenyi trails for a much broader sight of wildlife such as lions, antelopes along with other predators. We shall then return for lunch at your lodge then head for a very exciting Chimpanzee trekking experience in the Kyambura Gorge or rather an adventurous forest walk in the thick Maramagambo forest up to the Python Cave.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi

Very early in the morning, we shall embark on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, driving towards the southern sector (Ishasha sector) of Queen Elizabeth national park as we see the rare tree-climbing lions relax in fig trees. You will have a delicious lunch meal at Savannah hotel and then proceed to Bwindi where you shall arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

This is the best day of your Uganda safaris tour. After having breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters for a brief meeting that should instill you with knowledge about the dos and donts of gorilla tracking. It is from this same meeting that we shall be split into groups and allocated gorilla families to track. We shall then make our strides into the forests of Bwindi for a gorilla tracking experience that can last up to 8 hours depending on how long you take to find these primates. If we return early from gorilla tracking then we shall head for an evening visit to the Batwa Pygmies where you will watch them dance, tell stories and blend with you. after this we shall have dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala

We shall rise to an early morning breakfast and then transfer back to Kampala with stop overs in Mbarara for lunch and at the equator for photography moments. We shall reach Kampala in the evening where you will choose to either catch up with your night flight or rather have an overnight stay in Entebbe.
