3 Days Samburu Wildlife Safari – Wildlife viewing in Samburu National Reserve

This 3 days’ safari will take you to Samburu National Park/reserve located in Kenya, Samburu community. This protected reserve is famous for homing the female lioness famed Kamunyak. The excellent wildlife that can be spotted includes lions, elephants, oryx, zebras, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, kudu, warthogs, water bucks and many more others. The birds here are the kingfishers, yellow-billed hornbill, superb starling, secretary bird and much more. You will encounter all these through different game drives in the savannah plains. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Leave Nairobi for Samburu National reserve and game drive (optional)

Welcome to Kenya! Karibu ! Jambo! The driver guide will welcome you and take you through a briefing about this great safari to Samburu National reserve. This unique national reserve is known for homing zebras, Somali ostrich, leopards, cheetahs, Beisa oryx and much more. Transfer to Samburu National reserve a drive that will last for 6 hours. Arrive and have your late lunch and in case you had an en-route lunch, head straight for an optional evening game drive to spot some wild animals as you enjoy nature. Check in the accommodation booked and this will be the end of the day.

Day 2: Game drive

Take the morning and evening game drives in this beautiful park where different wildlife will be spotted such as mammals, reptiles, birds, butterflies and much more. Among them are lions, cheetahs, zebras, oryx, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles and many others. The game drives will take about 2 to 3 hours but they can be extended on your request. There are different moments that you can enjoy such as the lunch picnic moments, sunrise and sunset moments and much more.

Day 3:  Morning game drive and back to Nairobi

Head for an early morning game drive where you will spot early risers like the predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas and many more. These predators are active during this time which makes it easy to watch and spot them. Head to the lodge for your morning breakfast and then transfer to Nairobi for your flight back home.
