Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

A guide from our company will pick you up from your place of stay very early in the morning after breakfast and drive you towards Masindi, where Murchison Falls National Park is located. We shall have a brief stop over at Kafu for Muchomo (African roasted meat), gonja, roasted cassava before we make our final destination to the park, passing by the top of the falls for a remarkable sight before we retire for dinner and overnight at our place of stay.

Optional Activity: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Visit.

Day 2: Game Viewing Drive and Boat Cruise

This day we have remarkable sights of Uganda’s wildlife that should include four of the big five game animals. If you opt for the optional Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary visit then you will be rest assured of spotting the big five game animals. We shall drive around the park searching for wildlife and return to our lodge before midday for relaxation, lunch and then embark on a launch trip to the bottom of the falls with massive sights of crocodiles, hippopotamuses and several species of birds. This is one of the best moments of your Uganda safaris tour. After this trip, we shall retire at our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison falls NP to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early morning breakfast, we shall set off for our journey to Kibale Forest National Park having lunch en route in Fort Portal town before we make our final way into the national park. We should arrive by afternoon where you shall engage in a guided nature walk in Bigodi swamp, an activity that should give you the best sights of various bird species and primates before we retire for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After enjoying your breakfast meal, you shall head for a morning chimpanzee tracking experience that should also reward you sights of other primates like the colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys along with various bird species. In the afternoon we shall transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park immediately after having your lunch reaching late in the evening and proceed for an evening game drive straight away around the park to chance some of the wildlife species at the park.

Day 5: Nature walk and Launch cruise

Have breakfast in the morning and trek the thick Maramagambo forest in quest for sights of various bird species, chimpanzees, various primates plus the mysterious python caves. After having lunch, we shall head for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel where we should see crocodiles, hippopotamuses, cape buffaloes along with various bird species before we retire for dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After having your breakfast meal, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; driving through the Ishasha plains to view tree-climbing Lions. We should have our lunch meal at Ishasha wilderness Camp; pay a brief visit to the Ishasha River to sight hippopotamuses, crocodiles along with other aquatic animals. We shall then proceed straight to Bwindi for dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Gorilla tracking and Batwa Trail

This day demands an early rise and breakfast because we need to be at the park headquarters before 7:30 for short briefing meeting about Mountain Gorilla tracking that should guide us on the dos and donts of gorilla tracking. From this same meeting, we shall be allocated into groups accompanied with game rangers before we proceed to Bwindi forest for a gorilla trekking experience – an experience that should take us 2 – 8 hours depending on how long we take to locate the gorillas.

We shall have an hour of a full encounter with these primates upon locating them then head back to the lodge for lunch and a brief relaxation session. After lunch, we shall pay a visit to the Buhoma community where we shall find the Batwa pygmies and be part of their cultural performances, bond with their traditional healers as well as brewers.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Rise to an early morning breakfast and transfer to Uganda’s second smallest national park – Lake Mburo National Park, driving through the magnificent scenery of Kabale. We shall immediately go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo after having our lunch where we should sight the Impalas, crocodiles, plus several other species of wildlife before returning to our lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 9: Morning Game drive and Transfer back to Kampala

Rise to an early morning game drive to chance the Zebras, Cape Buffaloes along with tens of other mammals and bird species around the Savannah plains of Lake Mburo National Park. After this exciting experience, we shall return to our lodge for lunch, then transfer back to Kampala with lunch in Mbarara’s Igongo Cultural Center.

We shall also have a brief stopover at the Equator, a line that separates the northern and southern hemispheres of the earth.This is the perfect place to take photographs with your feet on different hemispheres of the world. We shall arrive in Kampala in the evening, have dinner and relax because we shall be very fatigued.

Day 10: Visit Uganda wildlife Education Center (UWEC) and Departure

This is the last day of our safari but it comes with an exciting activity as well. We shall visit the Uganda wildlife Education Center in Entebbe where we shall see variety of wildlife and bird species depending on what time you are leaving. If you have an early morning flight then we shall definitely transfer you to the Airport right away to catch up with the flight.

Extensions to this 10 days tour: If time permits, you can extend this trip by a 2 day white water rafting experience in Jinja’s Itanda falls. The experience also includes Bungee Jumping, Cayaking or Quad Biking depending on what you might choose to carry out.
