Overview
A great short safari of 4 days Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru National Reserve is a Kenya Wildlife tour you will enjoy while on an African safari. This is a big five safari combined with culture in the wilderness.
The game drives in this safari are a great experience as you spot animals like lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffalo and more with birds like jacana, herons, egrets, flamingoes, fish eagles, ibis, hornbills and many more others. On the part of the community tour, visit the Masai people who are pastoralists and learn about their culture through dress codes, language, music dances and more.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Leave Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara NR
Leave Nairobi after a pick up by the assigned driver guide and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve home to various wild animals. Our safari drive is amazing as you have a stopover at the Rift Valley viewpoint for photography.
Arrive in Mara and immediately head for a game drive in the plains of the reserve to search for wild animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, elands, wildebeests and many more others. Head to the lodge to check in, have dinner and enjoy the night’s sleep.
Day2. Full day in Masai Mara
Spend a full day in Mara plains enjoy the game drives and also visit the community of the Masai people. While on the game drives, encounter animals including the African big five animals like lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffalos, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, antelopes like wildebeests, kudu, bushbucks and more.
During the community tour, explore as you learn about one of the African cultures that is pastoralist. Learn the way of living as you prepare traditional meals, get entertained by music dance and drama, storytelling all evening and many more. Head back to the lodge late evening for your dinner and Night’s stay.
Day3. Head to Lake Nakuru NP
Leave for Lake Nakuru National Park from Masai Mara after breakfast home to large numbers of flamingoes. This park is surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands in the beautiful wildlife haven on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive and take an evening game drive where you are to encounter different wildlife such as spotted hyenas, zebras, gazelles, leopards, lions, rhinos, giraffes and many more. Head to check in the booked accommodation.
Day4. Game drive and head back to Nairobi
Have a game drive in the plains of Lake Nakuru National Park and expect to meet animals like zebras, waterbucks, both black and white Rhinos, baboons and more. Proceed and head back to Nairobi after breakfast and be dropped at any agreed point.
