This 3 days Masai Mara Budget Safari awards an opportunity for one to explore the beauty of Kenya. Masai Mara reserve is located in the southern parts of Kenya, harboring massive numbers of wildebeests that are always migrating from Serengeti in northern Tanzania to Masai Mara and vice versa.
This budget safari comprises of two main activities; game drives and visiting Masai communities where you will be entertained by cultural dancers, the dressing code, stories and their livelihood. A game drive in this reserve will expose you to some famous animals including lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, elephants, antelopes and millions of wildebeests.
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve.
On this 1st day of your tour, the assigned driver guide will meet you at any agreed point and take you through a quick briefing about the tour and within no minute start your journey southwards to Masai Mara reserve.
While on the way, you’ll meet some tall men grazing animals along the road and other Masai people selling crafts. You will have a stopover to take enroute lunch in any town of your choice. Upon reaching Masai Mara reserve, check in to your booked accommodation facility for lunch and refresh from the long journey.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise.
The day brightly begins with heavy breakfast, preparing yourself and head to the wildlife sanctuary for short briefing about the day’s activities. Masai mara is home to all-time beautiful wildlife. During the game drive with an armed park ranger and who is well conversant with the park, you will be able to see massive populations of wildebeests which are always in movement from Masai mara to Serengeti National Park.
Giraffes, lions, elephants and other eye-catching animals will be spotted during the game drive. After the 6-5 hours’ game drive, head back to your lodge for an early lunch and prepare for the Masai community visit.
After lunch, head to the neighboring Masai village where you will get entertained by the Masai cultural practices like cultural dances, cultural meals, dressing style and their norms. Masai people are reasonably tall herdsmen that have their special dress code. Their staple food is the Ugali accompanied by raw milk as the sauce. From this community experience, return to the lodge for dinner and prepare for departure back to Nairobi next morning.
Day 3: Depart from Masai mara to Nairobi. End of tour.
On the last day of your 3 days Masai Mara budget safari, wake up at any time of your choice, have breakfast and start your journey back to Nairobi. On this journey, have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point in Narok town and take some photos. Continue with your journey and on reaching Nairobi you can opt to have a short city tour but depending on your scheduled departure time.
