The road trip takes about three to four hours and offers beautiful views along the way. When you arrive, enjoy a two-hour game drive where you can see giraffes, rhinos, waterbucks, flamingos, and other wildlife. After the drive, check in at your lodge, relax, and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
Day 2: Travel to Lake Naivasha for a Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast, travel to Lake Naivasha, Kenya’s highest lake at 1,880 meters above sea level. This freshwater lake is surrounded by papyrus plants and is home to hippos, buffaloes, and many bird species.
Birds you may see include the brimstone canary, red-billed firefinch, grey-capped warbler, and many others. Enjoy a two-hour boat cruise on the lake to see hippos and birds up close. Later, return to your lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Return to Nairobi & Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive in this rich conservation area. Look out for waterbucks, giraffes, zebras, Grant’s gazelles, elands, and other animals.
Later, travel back to Nairobi, stop for lunch along the way, and continue to the airport for your flight home, marking the end of your 3-day Lake Nakuru and Naivasha Safari.
