10 Days Uganda Rwanda Primates & Kenya Tanzania Big Cats Safari

We take you to the destinations with incredible animals, majority on your wish list, including the lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and more, on this 10-day primates and big cat safari. You’ll go gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Chimpanzee trekking is possible in the eastern Ugandan national park of Kibale Forest.

Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Park is a great place for sight-seeing and game drives. Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania is where visitors can go on a big game safari, wildebeest migration and interact with the Masai Warriors. Despite the fact that no appointments are made with wild animals, you will gain valuable travel experience and perfect possibilities of checking off every item on your wish list. Rwanda serves as the starting point of this journey, and ends in Tanzania.

Detailed safari

Day 1: Kigali Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park

Our company’s driver guide will meet you on this day and lead you on a 10-day tour of East Africa. The papers will be cleared at Kigali airport, and following that, you’ll begin the 2 to 3 hours trip to Volcanoes National Park with views of the surrounding hills. Arrive at the lodge, check in, and then be served lunch and dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda

On this day, you will rise extremely early for delicious breakfast, and then travel to the park headquarters for a 30-minute pre-trek briefing that begins at 7:00 am. The ranger guides will explain what happens in the forest, what to anticipate, and how to act while participating in a gorilla trekking adventure. Depending on how far the apes have traveled and your pace, this walking exercise lasts anywhere from one to eight hours. You are given a one-hour allowance to be amidst the gorilla family and take photos after finding them.

You will see gorillas closely, then eat lunch in the jungle, return to the resort to recuperate, and declare the day a success. Dinner and bedtime arrive on schedule.

Day 3: Rwanda to Uganda’s Kibale forest National Park

From the bed to breakfast and finally to the check-out desk at the hotel. There will be lunch stop along the way, making it a daylong drive. The journey to Kibale National Park in western Uganda is characterized by rolling hills, verdant foliage, and bustling towns. Lunch will be along the way and arrive at your hotel in Fort portal’s Kibale town late in time for dinner and a nap.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking

You will get dressed in your trekking gear at dawn, eat breakfast and then head to park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing with knowledgeable ranger guides. The ranger guides will go over the dos and don’ts of trekking as well as provide information on chimpanzee life and other things. The journey through the shrubs and woods will then be with you. An additional hour is set aside for photographing and hearing what the ranger guides have to say about these habituated chimpanzees, which have over 98% of human-like DNA. The experience only lasts roughly two to three hours. Chimpanzees have more than 25 distinctive sounds.

After visiting your chimpanzee cousins, it’s time to head back to the lodge for lunch, have a break and take on an opportunity to visit Bigodi wetlands, a local community that provides guests a taste of rural life and a chance to see additional birds and primates like the baboons.

End the day with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe and fly onwards to Nairobi city

You will check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive to Entebbe International Airport. With a lunch break, the transfer lasts for roughly 5 to 6 hours. You will take a flight from Entebbe international airport to Nairobi in Kenya, where our company driver guide will greet and give you a briefing and later to your lodging facility for dinner and restful snooze.

Day 6: Nairobi city to Masai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast at dawn before leaving for Masai Mara National Reserve in southern Kenya. You will be on the road traveling to this famed reserve for around 4-6 hours. A photo stop and historical narration will be made once you reach at the Great Rift Valley. Make your way to the lodge to relax while you wait for dinner and night stay. Have a stop-over for some refreshments and lunch enroute.

Day 7: Full day game drive

By arriving in the wild at daybreak but returning to your lodge for late breakfast, you will increase your chances of witnessing predators on a hunt. The reserve’s center is a fantastic hiding place for variety of animals, including gazelles, topis, zebras, giraffes, lions, rhinos, leopards, wildebeests and more.

Returning to the wilderness for an evening adventure along Mara River offers you an opportunity to see schools of hippos, crocodiles and other animals, as well as predators and prey making their way back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 8: Cross to Tanzania in Serengeti National Park

At dawn, you will check out of the lodge and take a transfer to Serengeti National Park, a permanent home for wildebeest migration, one of the natural wonders in the world. You will cross through Namanga border point, where our safari guide will meet and welcome you, and later drive you to the lodge in Serengeti National Park. When lunchtime rolls around, you’ll be ready to head to the wilderness of Serengeti national park for game drives and sightseeing.

Later settle in for supper, refreshments, and a night stay.

Day 9: Sunrise Game dive and Afternoon cultural tours

After hearty breakfast at the lodge, head out on a fantastic game drive with a safari wilderness specialist. You are expected to remain very vigilant and prepared for any surprise, including encounters with rhinoceroses, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, warthogs, zebras, waterbucks, leopards, and more. You’ll also fall in love with stunning scenery, lush flora and wildlife. A 3 to 4 hours’ long game drive is followed by lunch.

After lunch, you’ll attend an afternoon cultural performance by the Maasai warriors, who are among the most well-known cattle keepers on the African continent. The Maasai will greet you, show you around their Manyattas and kraals, and then perform incredible dances and songs for you. Dinner and nighttime are the day’s last events at the lodge.

Day 10: Departure

Check out of the lodge following a hearty breakfast at the lodge, and then depart for Arusha on a 4-5 hours’ scenic drive while admiring the breathtaking scenery, lovely lakes and more. After arriving in Arusha, have lunch and visit the iconic sites and local markets to buy some mementos. At the pre-arranged drop-off location, the driver guide will bid you farewell.
