Detailed 3-Day Kibale Chimpanzee Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
On Day 1 of your 3-day Kibale chimpanzee trekking tour, you will be picked up from your place of stay and transferred to Kibale Forest National Park, with lunch en route in Fort Portal town. We expect to arrive at the park in the evening.
After arrival, enjoy dinner and relaxation as you prepare for the chimpanzee trekking adventure the next day.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
This is the day you’ll bond with the primates in the forests of Kibale. After an early breakfast, set off for a morning chimpanzee trekking adventure, where you’ll likely spot plenty of chimps along with other primates like colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and various bird species.
In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk at Bigodi Swamp, then return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
On Day 3 of your 3-day Kibale chimpanzee trekking tour, we’ll transfer back to Kampala, with lunch en route in Mbarara town. We’ll also make a brief stop at the Equator, where you can take photos and enjoy coffee.
This is the perfect spot to capture amazing photographs with one foot in each hemisphere of the world.
We’ll then proceed to Kampala, where you’ll be dropped off at Entebbe to catch your night flight.
