This 6 Days Uganda & Serengeti NP Safari takes you to two authentic savannah parks on the African continent. Both in locations with breathtaking scenery, excellent lodges, cool temperatures and more. The largest and one of the oldest national parks in Uganda is Murchison Falls National Park, which is situated in the north-western region.
Travel to Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania, which is home to the annual wildebeest migration, greatest animal migration in the world, along the Serengeti-Masai Mara path. The safari starts in Uganda and ends in Tanzania – largest country in east Africa.
Trip Overview
Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Mabamba swamp.
A friendly welcome awaits you from a representative of our company at the airport or another convenient location. Before heading off on the journey to Mabamba Swamp, one of Uganda’s precious Ramsar sites, you will receive professional briefing.
Take a canoe from the landing area on the shores of Lake Victoria, second-largest freshwater lake in the world, to Mabamba wetland where knowledgeable bird guide will meet you and take you to the interior of this wetland, particularly to spot the coveted shoe Bill stork. A return to the docking site will be made after an excursion, after which it will be time to proceed to the lodge in Kampala or Entebbe for refreshments, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
You will welcome your intestine with a hearty, mouthwatering breakfast at dawn. Then, be picked up by our driver/guide for a trip to Murchison Falls, the home of powerful waterfall in the world, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary along the way to visit the only rhinos present in Uganda. After an hour or so of rhino tracking, you will proceed to Masindi town for lunch.
On the other hand, you can enjoy music, storytelling, breathtaking views of landscapes and snacks as you travel. It takes between an hour – 1.5 hours from Masindi to your lodge in the park, after which the day ends with dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and Boat cruise
Catching that prey or predator on your wish list is what the early morning game drive is for. You will arrive in the wilderness at 6:30 am and spend 3–4 hours there before having a bush breakfast. Chances of spotting the many park residents grazing and wandering about the northern half of the park exist even if you don’t schedule an appointment with them. By chance, you might spot animals like warthogs, waterbucks, Jackson heart beasts, Uganda Kobs, giraffes, herds of buffaloes, elephants, lions, and leopards, among others, as well as a host of other species. A substantial bush breakfast will be followed by a lunch break.
You will embark on a boat ride to the bottom of Murchison Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world after lunch. The activity lasts for around two to three hours as you sail along R. Nile while taking in sights of elephants and other creatures quenching their thirst by the riverbank, as well as local wildlife including hippos, crocodiles and other reptiles, as well as waterfowl and other wildlife. After taking pictures at the location where you can clearly see the roaring waterfalls, you will draw to the spot where the falls squeeze through a 7-meter-deep valley to the Nile. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night after your day of activities.
Day 4: Fly from Uganda to Tanzania.
After a delectable breakfast at the lodge very early in the morning, you will check out and be driven to Entebbe International Airport for an onward flight to Kilimanjaro airport in northern Tanzania. Our Tanzanian representative will meet and transfer you to your lodge in Karatu.
Day 5: Full day safari experience in Serengeti National Park
what takes place as soon as you arrive in the woods in the morning. encounters with the big five cats, particularly lions, leopards, African elephants, cape buffaloes, and rhinos. During the full-day game drive, keep an eye out for hyenas, wildebeest, cheetahs, warthogs, zebras, and other species. In addition, there are birds, unusual tree types, breathtaking savannah plains and animals in big numbers. Breakfast and lunch breaks will be taken outside. Your guide will provide information about resident wildlife, as well as other wilderness attractions and flora.
With the exception of the grazers, take the finest pictures you can of the animals because you only get one chance. Nobody has a scheduled meeting with the animals; everything is based on luck but Serengeti presents over 90% chances of meeting animals in big numbers. A return to the lodge for dinner and night will follow the lovely day’s finale as the sun sets.
Day 6: Return to Arusha. Departure
This morning, you will go on a 3 to 4 hours’ sunrise game drive to catch up with nocturnal lovers who are coming home to rest. These include, among others, hyenas, lions, leopards, and hippos. After your game drive, you’ll head back to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and leaving for your drop-off location in Arusha or Moshi town.
