Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park for a Gorilla Trip

After having a delicious breakfast, get briefed about the 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Trek & Ngorongoro Safari Adventure.

Later, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable NP in Kanungu, Western Uganda, taking the Masaka-Mbarara route, which includes a stopover at the Equator crossing and a lunch break at Igongo cultural center.

The drive time from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi NP takes between 8 and 9 hours in our comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Combined with an Evening Batwa Experience

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and leave the lodge with all the essentials for your gorilla trekking adventure.

At 7:00 am, you will be briefed about gorilla trekking guidelines, and gorilla families will be assigned along with park ranger guides.

Start the trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to explore mountain gorillas, an adventure that may last for 2-6 hours, including one hour for a close encounter.

When you return, you’ll have enough time to relax at the lodge.

In the evening, join other guests for the Batwa cultural experience.

At the Batwa community, you will have a quality time exploring more about the Batwa, their unique traditions, cultures, and the residents will entertain you with their incredible dances and music performances.

Day 3: Transfer to Kihihi Airstrip & Fly Back to Entebbe Airport-Arusha

After breakfast, leave the lodge for the Kihihi airstrip for your departure flight to Entebbe Airport.

At Entebbe airport, you will have a connecting flight to Arusha and meet our Tanzania safari guide for pick up and transfer to the lodge/hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and meet the driver-guide for a transfer to Ngorongoro Crater located in the Northern circuit.

The drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area takes about 3-4 hours and your journey offers breathtaking views of the countryside rift valley.

Arrive early and check in at the lodge on the sweeping plains of Ngorongoro, and have lunch.

Spend the afternoon at the lodge for relaxation or set off for an afternoon game drive to see a variety of wildlife, especially the big 5 game and predators late in the evening.

Day 5: Explore Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day

After breakfast, you will have a full day exploring Ngorongoro Crater and its diverse wildlife.

Today’s wildlife experience covers the big 5 game viewing (buffaloes, leopards, elephants, lions, black rhinos), gazelles, wildebeest, caracals, hyenas, impalas, giraffes, African wild dogs, cheetahs, and birds.

It also comes with jaw-dropping views of the Crater, the world’s natural wonder, and late in the evening, you will settle for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Depart for Arusha

Get up early for breakfast, and you will have a short game drive to see more wildlife, especially early morning risers.

Exit Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area for Arusha, marking the end of the 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Trek & Ngorongoro Safari Adventure.
