Looking for a 8-Day South Sudan tour? Experience the unique lifestyle of the Mundari community, one of the most interesting tribes in South Sudan, while exploring one of the many wildlife reserves in the area.
Join us on an 8-day, 7-night photo tour of the Mundari cattle camp of South Sudan, followed by a wildlife safari tour of Nimule National Park. Fola Falls, raging rivers, and elephant herds are just some of the highlights of this national park, making it an ideal destination for adrenaline junkies and animal lovers alike.
A ranger will take you down the river, where you will be met by a local boat, which will take you across the island to the other side of Nimule.
The best place to see Nimule’s elephant herds on a South Sudan tour is at the national park, where you’ll also see hippos and crocodiles and abundant river bird life.
When you get off the boat and start walking, the ranger will be able to point out all kinds of animals, from the zebra to bushbuck, and will be able to show you warthogs and baboons as well as occasional jackals, hyraxes, vervet monkeys, or leopards.
If you’ve got time, ask your ranger to take you to the Fola Falls, an impressive, narrow passage through which the White Nile flows.
Here, you’ll be able to see fishermen cast their nets for catfish and other delicious treats, all the while running into the thicket of crocs and hippos.
Rafting the White Nile in the national park is one of the most popular weekend excursions for Juba expats in Africa.
Rivers run regular dry season trips, picking up rafters Friday at noon from Juba and transporting them in a customized truck to Nimule, where they camp overnight at Nimule National Park.
