Detailed 10-Day South Sudan Cultural Immersion Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Juba & Hotel Transfer
Arriving in Juba, Welcome to the capital city of South Sudan, you’ll be transferred to your luxurious hotel, Royal Palace Hotel, where you will stay for the rest of the day and overnight.
Day 2: Flight to Kapoeta
Embark on your domestic flight to Kapoeta, the main city for Toposa. On arrival, check-in to your accommodation and relax.
Later in the evening, enjoy taking photographs, and you will spend the night camping or Mango Camp stay.
Day 3: Visit Boya People
Today, you will wake up for sunrise photography and then leave for a 5-hour drive to the homeland of the Boya people in the Boya Hills.
You will spend the overnight camping.
Day 4: Visit Boya People
Today you will spend the whole day exploring the homeland villages of the Boya people.
Your overnight stay will be spent camping.
Day 5: Travel back to Toposa
You will travel back to Toposa. It takes 5 hours to travel back to the land of Toposa for the overnight stay.
Day 6: Flight Back to Juba
Today, embark on your domestic flight from Kapoeta to Juba.
You will arrive in Juba and stay at your accommodation (Royal Palace Hotel).
Day 7: Transfer to Terekeka Town
After a day-long drive to the Terekeka town of Mundari, from where we drive into the bush, we meet the Mundari people.
The Mundari people are an ethnic group famous for their facial scars and traditional ceremonies.
You will be camping during the night.
Day 8: Visit Mundari Tribe
Spend the whole day with the Mundaris, exploring their villages and learning about their culture and traditions.
You will spend the night at the camp.
Day 9: Visit Mundari Tribe
After your last morning with the Mundari, make your way back to Juba.
Upon arrival, check-in to the Royal Palace Hotel, rest and relax.
You will also spend the night at the hotel.
Day 10: Flight back to Juba
Today you will travel to Juba city, where you will visit some interesting places in the city.
You will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home.
