This 3-Day, 2-Night Safari Tour in South Sudan’s Nimule National Park will introduce you to the wildlife of South Sudan.
Of course, visiting the African jungle is the first thing that most people think of when they think of Africa, but many fewer people would think of going on a safari to South Sudan.
Most people who travel to South Sudan come on South Sudan cultural tours. There isn’t much wildlife in South Sudan, but this 3-Day, 2-Night Nimule National Park Safari Tour gives you the opportunity to see what South Sudan has to offer in terms of wildlife.
Nimule National Park is located close to the border with Uganda. This national park is famous for its elephant, hippopotamus, dense bird life, and crocodile.
If you are looking for a short visit to South Sudan without spending too much time in the capital of Juba, this national park can be a great option. Nimule National Park is the most accessible of all South Sudan’s national parks.
It was established in 1954 under British rule. The park covers an area of 540 km² and is situated on the White Nile river. It is easy to get to Juba by air or by crossing to it from Uganda.
Flying from South Sudan to Nimule National Park is much quicker and easier than, surprise, not flying from Kampala to the national park and then crossing the river.
Visitors can see elephant herds while taking a boat ride across the river and then see zebras, warthogs, and baboons, as well as occasional leopards on foot.
