Detailed 5-Day Uganda Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Your 5-Day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari begins with a morning pickup from Entebbe or Kampala by your safari guide.
You will drive northwest to Murchison Falls National Park, a journey of about 3–5 hours, with a lunch stop in Masindi District.
After lunch, visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging into the pool below.
Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Wildlife Viewing and Launch Trip
After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive through the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park.
Look out for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and other wildlife. If lucky, you may spot lions or leopards resting in the grasslands.
Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls.
The cruise offers great photo opportunities of hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species along the Nile River.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by Flight
After breakfast, take a domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda.
This park is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
On arrival, your guide will transfer you to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Walk
Start your day with an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing before gorilla trekking.
After the briefing, enter the forest with your ranger guide to begin your mountain gorilla trek.
The trek can take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you find them, spend one hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat.
Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience that includes storytelling, traditional music, and dance.
Later, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer Back to Kampala and Departure
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, a journey of about 8–9 hours.
Enjoy scenic views of the countryside and make a brief stop at the Equator for photos and souvenirs.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
This marks the end of your 5-Day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari.
