Detailed 4-Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara NP. Evening Game Drive
Be picked up from Arusha at an agreed-upon point by our company representative.
They will provide you with a short briefing about the Tanzania safari tour.
After the briefing, you will start the journey to Lake Manyara National Park, where you may encounter cattle farms and Maasai people selling crafts and arm bangles.
If you’re interested, you can purchase some as souvenirs.
Upon arrival, check in to your booked lodge for lunch and relax as you prepare for the evening game drive.
Head to the park offices for briefing and check-in.
During this game drive, expect to encounter the uncommon climbing lions, which are unique to this area and Queen Elizabeth NP in Uganda.
You’ll also spot other impressive animals like large elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, olive baboons, and antelopes.
The activity will last for about 4 hours before returning to the lodge for rest, dinner, and preparation for the next morning’s activities.
Day 2: Travel to Serengeti National Park. Evening Game Drive
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast and prepare for a transfer to Serengeti National Park for a game drive.
Upon reaching Serengeti National Park, check in at the park offices for a briefing before starting your game drive.
While on the game drive, witness millions of wildebeests moving in massive herds, along with gazelles and zebras, on their migration journey from Serengeti to Masai Mara National Reserve in southern Kenya.
Encounter other magnificent animals such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, and various bird species.
The adventure will last for 3-4 hours before returning to the park offices for check-out.
Then, head to the lodge for lunch and rest in preparation for the next day’s adventure.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Travel to Ngorongoro Crater
Wake up in the morning, prepare, have breakfast, and embark on a morning game drive to explore animals that you may not have seen on the previous day’s game drive.
Keep an eye out for animals like hyenas, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, and forest hogs.
After the 4-hour game drive, return to your lodge for departure to Ngorongoro Crater.
Upon reaching Ngorongoro, check in to your booked lodge.
The afternoon hours are for leisure or an optional activity to explore the Ngorongoro communities before resting for another day of adventure.
Day 4: Explore Ngorongoro Crater (5 hours) and Transfer Back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro
The day starts with a scenic breakfast.
Begin your journey to the crater with a local guide who is well-informed about the Ngorongoro area.
During your exploration of the Crater, spot numerous water birds like the hammerkop, kingfishers, and many others, and learn about the different features of the crater, including its depth, formation, and beauty.
After exploring Ngorongoro Crater, depart for the lodge and pack your luggage for the onward transfer to Arusha to mark the end of your 4-Day Tanzanian Safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro.
Upon reaching Arusha city, you may choose to have a short city tour of Arusha or proceed to catch your scheduled flight back home.
