Day 1: Mwanza to Rubondo Island National Park
After breakfast at your hotel in Mwanza, your driver will pick you up and drive you to Rubondo Island National Park, a journey of about 4–5 hours to reach Nkome or Kasenda village.
From there, take a speedboat across Lake Victoria to the island. On arrival, check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, put on comfortable shoes for a guided nature walk. Rubondo Island is home to over 300 bird species and a range of wildlife.
You may spot grey parrots, African fish eagles, and woodpeckers, as well as animals like elephants, hippos, bushbucks, vervet monkeys, sitatunga antelopes, and more.
Return to your accommodation at the TANAPA bandas or Rubondo Island Camp for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 2: Fishing in Lake Victoria – Rubondo Island National Park
