Overview.
This 3 days Nyerere National Park exploration safari has been designed to ensure that visitors get to encounter the beautiful animals living within this breathtaking National Park. Nyerere National Park is one of the largest natural areas in Tanzania and its beauty supports quite a number of interesting activities which visitors on this trip will get to indulge in and therefore have the best of their experiences in the country.
Game drives will be carried out in the lush vegetation which is a habitat to variety of wildlife, walking safaris in the natural area to enable visitors appreciate endowments of the park and also deep sea fishing in the Rufiji tributaries.
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Fly from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. Game drive in the afternoon.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be picked up by a tour guide who will guide them through the entire process of the flight to Nyerere National Park. Embark on the drive to the lodge when you arrive in the park to relax as you stare at the beautiful savanna grasslands and shrubs in the wilderness. Luxuriate in the views of the animals that come within the compound of the lodge especially the common warthogs, elephants and buffaloes. Professionals at the lodge will serve you delicious lunch after which you will embark on a late afternoon game drive in this National Park.
A game drive will be conducted specifically to give you an opportunity to view animals that live within which you’ll surely encounter, especially the big 5 animals, waterbucks, elands, common genets, warthogs, zebras and giraffes. A variety of bird species will also be encountered and you will view rare blood species including the Acacia trees, Savannah grasslands, fig trees to mention but a few. Head to the lodge at sunset for dinner and accommodation overnight.
Day 2: Full day in Nyerere National Park game drive. (Deep sea fishing).
Delicious breakfast will be served at sunrise at the lodge, after which you will go on the exciting morning game drive through the captivating grasslands of Nyerere National park. The game drive will present endless opportunities to view various wildlife species that have inhabited the National Park for hundreds of years. Enjoy views of numerous animals, the entire morning and later at noon make your way to the lodge to have delicious lunch to keep you motivated and energetic during the activities.
In the afternoon, you will undertake a deep sea fishing experience at river Rufiji tributaries which is a renowned fishing ground and while there, you will have a chance to participate in the sport fishing activity to help you catch the famous cat fish. Enjoy the activity the entire afternoon and later at sunset, undertake the drive to the lodge to get served delicious dinner and have night rest.
Day 3: Walking safari and return flight to Dar es Salaam.
Upon waking up at sunrise, get served with a delicious morning meal at the lodge. Savor the delicious meal and undertake a walking safari in the vicinity of the lodge. Walking through the Savannah grasslands in the golden hour is such a life satisfying moment which visitors will get to participate in.
Enjoy views of the wilderness and spot some of the beautiful bird species. The walking safari will give visitors a chance to explore more of the park’s endowments and will help you live in the moment and take a break off the usual busy schedules.
Transfer back to the lodge in the mid morning to check out, have lunch and embark on the drive to Sumbazi airstrip. At Sumbazi airstrip, catch a flight to Dar es Salaam where you will further catch the onward flights back home.
