Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport and Transfer to Akagera National Park

On your first day, our driver-guide will pick you up from the airport and give you a short briefing about the tour.

Without delay, you will start your journey to Akagera National Park, which takes about 6-7 hours.

Upon arrival, check into your booked accommodation and have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise.

Afterward, head to Lake Ihema for the boat cruise, with a short drive through the park to receive a briefing about the activity.

While on the boat cruise, you may see water birds such as ducks, kingfishers, and hamerkops, as well as water animals like crocodiles and hippos.

The activity lasts about 2 hours. Return to your lodge for dinner and rest as you prepare for the next day.

Day 2: Game Drive and Transfer to Kigali

Start your day with breakfast and get ready for a game drive. Head to the park offices for a briefing, where you will be assigned a game ranger to guide and protect you during the drive.

During the game drive, you will see exciting wildlife such as Masai giraffes, warthogs, elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and more. The game drive lasts about 2 hours.

After the drive, return to your lodge, have lunch, and prepare for your transfer back to Kigali. Depending on your arrival time in Kigali and your flight schedule, you can choose to take a short city tour, which may include a visit to the Genocide Memorial Center.
