Detailed 1-Day Mount Bisoke Hiking Tour Itinerary

Your driver-guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Kigali and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park for the start of your Rwanda hiking tour.
At 7:00 am, you will attend a short briefing about the hike. The park guide will explain the rules, safety tips, and options for hiring porters to carry your extra luggage.
By 8:00 am, you will drive to the trailhead and begin your Mount Bisoke climb through the lush montane forest. The hike to the summit takes about 4 to 5 hours, depending on your pace. Along the way, you may see primates such as golden monkeys or even a gorilla family on the slopes.
The guide will also share information about the Karisoke Research Center, founded by Dian Fossey, who worked to protect mountain gorillas in this region.
