This 5-Day Rwanda Tour combines gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park with a relaxing Lake Kivu tour. Trekking gorillas in Rwanda is done only in Volcanoes National Park, located in the northern region of the country, while Lake Kivu lies in the western part of Rwanda.
Volcanoes National Park is about a two-hour drive from Kigali City, making it one of the easiest parks to reach in Rwanda. Established in 1925, it was created to protect mountain gorillas and other wildlife living in the Virunga Mountains.
