Overview.
Visitors on this trip will be availed with the explorations of the most beautiful wildernesses in the pearl of Africa. Various wonders will be seen on this safari such as the beautiful tree climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park and primates highlighted by chimpanzees in Kibale National Park.
Furthermore, a tour to the Kibale National Park and Bigodi wetland sanctuary will present opportunities to view rare bird species that are endemic to this region. A variety of activities are included in this trip to make it more lively and enjoyable to the visitors which will improve on experiences and therefore make it worthwhile.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
you will be picked up from the hotel in Kampala by our company guide to go on the safari within Queen Elizabeth National Park. This journey will take approximately 6 hours and 50 minutes. You will have a stopover at Lukaya food market where you will have a cuisine of roasted meat accompanied with delicious refreshing juice.
Continue with the journey and you will be served with lunch enroute. Go ahead with the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at the lodge on arrival and relax in the rooms as you enjoy the views of African wilderness. Delicious dinner will be served at eventide and you’ll be accommodated overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
Enjoy delicious breakfast at the lodge before sunrise. After, you’ll proceed on a guided game drive in the National Park which will present endless opportunities to spot wonderful animals that live in this National Park, ranging from African buffaloes, African bush elephants to big cats especially the lions and leopards.
Admire views of the animals and later at around midday, transfer back to the lodge for lunch. Drive to Kazinga channel where you will undertake the launch cruise that will provide opportunities to view the beautiful areas of the park and animals at the shores. Animals usually pass by the shores of the lake to refresh and take water. Guests will therefore have the chance to spot buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles and countless bird species. Enjoy the views of the sunset on this boat cruise and later at twilight transfer back to the lodge. A delicious dinner will be served and you will have a party and rest overnight.
Day 3: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale National Park. Tour the crater lakes and Toro Kingdom palace.
A morning meal will be served at first light at the hotel, after which you will embark on the drive to Kibale National Park which will take you roughly 1 – 2 hours. Kibale National Park will unveil more views of beautiful animals and landscapes, enabling numerous activities especially photography and sightseeing. Embark on the visit to the breathtaking crater lakes of Ndali and Kasenda. Enjoy photography and sightseeing around the beautiful lakes.
In the afternoon, transfer to the lodge for a mouth watering lunch. After lunch, drive to the Toro Kingdom palace for historic adventures. The visit at the palace will provide visitors with insights into the kingdom’s history and traditions.
Have the opportunity to enjoy the cultural dances of the local people which will make the trip more exciting. Drive back to the lodge at dusk where you’ll be served dinner and accommodated overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest and Bigodi wetland.
The day will be started off with a delicious breakfast at the lodge. Undertake the drive to Kibale National Park headquarters where you will have briefing with the rangers about the guidelines of chimpanzee tracking adventure. Continue to the jungle for this adventure and enjoy the views of chimpanzees with their young ones as they interact freely in the forest.
These are so interesting primates and they are renowned for some of their characteristics that are quite similar to human beings and the fact that they share 98% of the human DNA makes them more wonderful. Transfer back to the lodge after the activity where you will be served lunch. After lunch, you will undertake the Bigodi wetland walk which will present chances for bird watching since it is a sanctuary for beautiful African birds.
The nature walk will allow you to experience the breeze of the forest and appreciate the natural endowments of the park. At dusk, transfer back to the hotel in Fortportal, enjoy the nightlife and you’ll be accommodated overnight.
Day 5: Drive back to Kampala.
Get served with a delicious morning meal at cockcrow at the hotel. Embark on the drive back to Kampala which will take you approximately 5 -6 hours. Arrival back in Kampala will call off the trip.
