Detailed 5-Day Uganda Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On the first day of your 5-Day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari, a morning departure is required, so you should arrive a few hours beforehand to rest.
A guide from our travel company will pick you up from Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park, a journey of 3–5 hours, with lunch en route in Masindi District.
Afterward, we’ll proceed to the park, visit the top of the falls, and then head to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Wildlife Viewing and Launch Trip
Today, we’ll embark on a morning wildlife viewing drive, where you’ll have the chance to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and more.
Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon launch trip to the base of the falls for a unique view of the powerful Murchison Falls.
Then, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by Flight
After an early breakfast, we’ll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by flight. On arrival, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Walk
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before venturing into Bwindi Forest in search of mountain gorillas.
Depending on luck, the trek may take up to 8 hours, including a 1-hour encounter with the gorillas. If you locate the gorillas sooner, you’ll return to the starting point earlier.
After lunch, we’ll go on a Batwa cultural trail to enrich the afternoon experience, then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer Back to Kampala and Departure
After an early breakfast, we’ll begin our 8–9 hour journey back to Kampala, arriving in the late evening. You’ll then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.
