The park is located in western Uganda occupying districts of Kasese and Bushenyi, a distance of about 420 kilometers that is about 6 hours of drive on ground. Queen Elizabeth national park is known for diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes covering over 1978 square kilometers and is part of the larger Albertine rift valley.

Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Depending on your booked hotel location, the driver will pick you up in the morning after breakfast and transfer you to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey is about 420 kilometers along the Masaka-Mbarara road with a few stops at the equator or in Mbarara depending on your choices.
Once you reach, the driver will take you to your booked hotel to rest, have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise.
After an early morning breakfast, the driver will pick you and transfer you to Kasenyi plains with the park to do lion trekking, this is a great way to enjoy the most sensitive parts of wildlife experience with no boundaries and restrictions at the park.
Lion tracking is done in the morning with short briefing by experienced game rangers who will also accompany you to the jungle straight to the lion’s site. Once you reach, you are able to know different wonders about lions like their name, history, pride and behaviors. After this, you are able to enjoy these lions or about three hours as the rangers are monitoring them. After tracking, you will head back to the starting point where the driver will pick you and take you to your hotel for lunch and prepare for the afternoon boat cruise.
The boat cruise id performed at Kazinga channel a water channel that connect lake Edward to lake George, this activity allows you explore and observe wildlife animals up close from the waters. The channel is a 32-kilometer-long natural water way and gives you an opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes accompanied with a rich bio diversity of various water birds.
The boat cruise is a fantastic way to relax and enjoy the natural beauties of the whole park while getting up close to some of the remarkable wildlife species. After cruising, the driver will transfer you back to your hotel to have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura and crater lakes tour in the evening.
After an early morning breakfast, the driver will take you to the starting point of your chimpanzee trekking experience, you will be briefed and told of what to do during the whole experience. Chimpanzee trekking is so much captivating and an up close way of getting closer to these playful primates in their natural habitat.
You will be guided by and experienced ranger who will take you through the jungle and dense forests searching for these primates, this activity is filled with ultimate adventure as you navigate through challenging terrain in pursuit of the chimps. When you get to encounter these primates, you are given an hour to be with them and enjoy their presence as you learn about their behavior and social dynamics.
After this ultimate and up close encounter with these playful primates, the driver will be waiting for you at the starting point to take you back to your hotel to have lunch and prepare for the evening crater lakes tour.
