3 Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi
This day your 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trek begins. You shall rise to an early morning breakfast and after getting picked by a guide from our tour company then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, southwest of Uganda with lunch en route at Mbarara’s Igongo Cultural Center. We shall also have a stopover at the Equator, a line that divides the two hemispheres of Earth (North and South) for captivating photography moments. We shall arrive at Bwindi in the evening, have dinner, relax and retire for an overnight as we get set for a gorilla tracking adventure the following day.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
This is the day we bond with our long term gorilla cousins in the thick forests of Bwindi. Gorilla trekking is a physically challenging activity calls for a heavy breakfast meal and carrying packed lunch with drinks because you won’t find any shops or canteens in the jungles whilst tracking. We shall be briefed from 7:30 am to 8:00 am, allocated into groups – each with armed game rangers for protection and finally makes our way into the jungles of Bwindi searching for Mountain Gorillas.
This activity depends fully on your luck and how long you take to locate the gorillas. If lucky, you will be able to locate these primates in just an hour or two but if unlucky, your experience may last up to 8 hours which is quite tiresome. Upon locating the gorillas, you will have a full hour encounter with and after return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. if your budget allows, you can opt for an optional Batwa trail activity that should depict for you the true culture of these Batwa Pygmies.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
Being the last day of your 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trek, this day we return to Kampala so that you catch up with your departure flight. We shall have our lunch at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara, have another stop over at the Equator for coffee and photography and then drive straight to Entebbe International Airport in Kampala for an evening airport drop off as you wait for your flight back home.
