Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Travel from Kampala/Entebbe city to Lake Mburo for a wildlife tour
At leisure, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the place of residence/hotel in Kampala/Entebbe city. After, you will be picked up by our experienced safari guide and continue to Lake Mburo National Park (LMNP) via the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara route. En-route to Lake Mburo NP includes a stopover visit at the Equator crossing and then proceed to check in at the lodge for relaxation.
Lake Mburo NP lies in Kiruhura, Western Uganda, and contains a diversity of wildlife species. It supports animal species such as hippos, zebras, leopards, 350 bird species, topis, giraffes, bush babies, elands, oribis, klipspringers, and more.
Day 2: Full-day activities: Game drive & launch cruise excursion
Following an early morning breakfast, meet the driver guide fully prepared for a game drive to explore Lake Mburo National Park’s huge profusion of wildlife. The 2-3 hours’ game drive comes with unforgettable animal sightings ranging from zebras, cape buffaloes, waterbucks, topis, bushbucks, giraffes, leopards, impalas, warthogs, and birds.
Retreat and have lunch in the comfort of your safari lodge. Set off from the lodge for an afternoon launch cruise excursion on Lake Mburo. Along the Lake shores, keep an eye on aquatic life, especially hippos, crocodiles, and birds like pelicans, fish eagles, crested francolins, African grey hornbill, white-winged warblers, scimitar bill, herons, yellow-breasted apalis and African fin foot.
Day 3: Departure
