The Albertine Eco-region

Akagera National Park
Sits beneath the Albertine belt, northeastern part of Rwanda, housing over 525 bird species in its rolling grassland mixed with broad-leafed and acacia woodland, dissected by River Akagera; some of the bird species that are found here include Papyrus Gonolek, Sousa's Shrike, White-collared Olive back, Shoebill, Red-faced Barbet, and Carruther's Cisticola among others.
