Detailed 4-Day Queen Elizabeth Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and begin the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes about 6 hours, with optional stopovers at the Equator or in Mbarara for refreshments and photos.
Upon arrival, check into your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, go on a short game drive through the park’s savannah plains to see wildlife such as elephants, antelopes, and buffaloes.
Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Lion Tracking Experience & Afternoon Boat Safari
After an early breakfast, head to the Kasenyi Plains for your lion tracking experience. This special activity allows you to follow and observe lions closely in their natural environment.
You’ll first attend a short briefing led by professional rangers, who will share the tracking process and safety tips. During the activity, the rangers will teach you about the lions’ behavior, names, and group dynamics.
Spend about three hours observing and learning about the lions before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural 32-kilometer waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers amazing views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous water birds along the shores.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge & Crater Lakes Tour
After breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge for your chimpanzee trekking adventure.
A ranger will brief you about the trekking rules and what to expect before leading you through the forest. Trekking can be challenging due to the terrain, but the reward of finding chimpanzees in their natural habitat is unforgettable.
Spend about one hour observing the chimpanzees as they feed, play, and interact. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest.
In the evening, go for a crater lakes tour, exploring the scenic volcanic lakes surrounding Queen Elizabeth National Park. Each lake is unique in shape and color, surrounded by lush vegetation and birdlife. You may also meet local communities and learn about their culture and daily life.

Day 4: Transfer to Kampala & Departure
