Serengeti national park: Serengeti is Tanzania’s most popular national park and most famous tourist attraction in Tanzania. This vast wilderness is home to the famous yearly wildebeest migration which is the most sought-after natural occurrence of any one planning to visit Tanzania hoping to witness especially the migration crossing the Mara River.
Ngorongoro Crater: The world’s largest unbroken caldera is located in Ngorongoro conservation area, one of Tanzania’s most popular protected areas and attractions as well. Visit the conservation area and take on a game drive to explore the crater.
Kilimanjaro Mountain: This is the highest mountain on the African continent which is a major attraction of tourists to Tanzania. At 5,895 meters, Uhuru peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro is the highest point in Africa and many visitors have successfully climbed to top of this mighty mountain.
Mafia Island: Interested in marine life, Mafia Island is a place you shouldn’t miss out on your visit to Tanzania. This marine park is a tropical marine paradise and while on the island you could go scuba diving, snorkeling or swim with sea turtles.
Lake Manyara and Tarangire national parks: These 2 national parks are among the popular attractions in the country each with something unique to offer to visitors. Tarangire national park is home to large herds of the earth’s giants, the African Elephants and also the giant baobab trees and Lake Manyara national park is home to the famous unique tree climbing lions.
Mahale Mountains national park and Gombe stream national park: These are the 2 homes of the wild chimpanzees in Tanzania. Nyerere national park: Named after the late Julius Nyerere, Nyerere national park is the largest protected area in Tanzania located in the Southern part of the country. Experience the wildlife while on a boat ride on the famous Rufiji River that flows through the park.
Olduvai Gorge: A world famous archaeological site where the remains of early man and tools were found years ago. Visit the site and the Olduvai Museum for an interesting insight on the evolution of humans. In 1911, a German professor discovered the first fossil and later the Leakey’s family arrived and carried out more exploration of the area and made more discoveries.
Stone town: This is the cultural and historical heart of Zanzibar. Take a stroll in this old town for an amazing moment that will take you through different colonial eras represented in each corner.
