The 2-Day Bwindi trekking from Kigali is one of the shorter trips, perfect for those of you with limited time.
It offers a better alternative for you to connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park rather than starting your journey from Kampala/Entebbe.
This 2-Day Kigali to Bwindi tour is special in that you will only spend about 4 to 5 hours driving from Kigali, and you can connect to the park via the Katuna border to Kabale or the Chanika border to Kisoro town.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park of Uganda is a renowned mountain gorilla highland, located in the Albertine Rift, southwestern Uganda.
This UNESCO Site shelters 459 mountain gorillas, and more than 20 habituated gorilla families are all open for gorilla trekking.
Within Bwindi alone, there are 4 trailheads/sectors to consider exploring on a gorilla tour: Ruhija, Buhoma, Rushaga, and Nkuringo.
If this 2-Day Kigali to Bwindi gorilla tour package is too short for you, you can alternatively book the 3-day tour.
Please note that you can combine this 2-Day Kigali to Bwindi gorilla tour package with a Kilimanjaro climb, a Tanzania Serengeti safari, a Tanzania Ngorongoro safari, or a Masai Mara safari. Book this 2-Day Kigali to Bwindi Gorilla Tour today to reserve your permit.

Detailed 2-Day Kigali to Bwindi Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Kigali for Bwindi via Katuna/Cyanika Border
After your cup of tea or coffee, meet with your trip leader for a briefing and pick up at one of the classic hotels.
Depending on the time, you may head off to the Kigali/Gisozi Genocide Memorial Centre for a short tour.
This memorial is the final resting place for over 250,000 Rwandan genocide victims.
Depart Kigali for the Katuna border for clearing before you connect to Bwindi, or the Cyanika border to cross over to Kisoro.
The Cyanika border is ideal if you are heading to the southern sectors of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Rushaga and Nkuringo), and Katuna leads you to Buhoma or Ruhija sectors.
Driving time from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP takes 4 to 5 hours, and when you arrive, check in at the lodge for relaxation.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Departure
First, enjoy breakfast at the comfort of your lodge, and after, connect to the briefing area by walking or by car.
The park official takes you through the gorilla trekking guidelines, and each sub-group of 8 guests will have an armed park ranger guide escorting them for the gorilla trek.
Starting at 8:00 am, expect to spend at least 2 to 6 hours in the forest searching for a family of gorillas, and upon locating these apes, you will have 1 hour with them.
Use the hour to take photos and observe the behaviors and body gestures of the mountain gorillas.
Afterward, begin the trek back to the lodge for a short relaxation, lunch, and check-out.
Before heading to the lodge, report to the park offices where the briefing was done to pick up your gorilla trekking certificates.
Meet the driver guide to be returned to Kigali in Rwanda.
In Kigali, you will have two options: get dropped off at the airport for departure or a hotel for a night stay.
