You will spend nights trekking and days exploring Mount Kenya, the tallest mountain in the enchanted nation of Kenya. Sirimon Route is the most popular option among the mountain’s routes; it is situated in the northwest, close to Nanyuki. Day 1: Pickup and hike to the old Moses Camp
Our driver guide will meet and greet you at the agreed-upon pickup location or at your lodge. After briefing session on the safari requirements and amenities, you’ll set off on a 3–4 hours’ journey to Nanyuki. Before going to Sirimon Gate for registration and briefing, take a break to recharge.
Prior to beginning this nine-kilometer walk to the old Moses camp, where you will spend the night, lunch will be served. Numerous plant species and scattered settlements indicate where the mountain begins. Pay attention to how the weather and vegetation change as well. While concentrating on the peak, keep an eye out for birds, primates and other wildlife. After dinner and, if provided, a bonfire, go to bed.
Day 2: Transfer from Old Moses camp to Shiptons Camp
Start your day with a full breakfast before beginning your ascent. The camp is located around 4200 meters above sea level. You’ll be on your hike for roughly 6-7 hours, including a lunch break. You will stroll past the Liki and Makinders valleys while admiring the breathtaking scenery, recognizing some distant birds, and more. After dinner and overnight, the day is ended.
Day 3: Arrive at the summit and descend to old Moses Camp
Today is the day that your goal of reaching the mountain summit and exploring it comes true. The trip begins at 3am and lasts for roughly 3–4 hours. At around 6:00 am, just before sunrise, you’ll walk past the lower hall tarns to Point Lenana.
Arrive, explore the mountain’s summit, and take in the good times and pictures. After this, head down to Shipton Camp for breakfast and a short break before continuing the day’s adventure on a four-hour hike to Old Moses Camp. The day is done after dinner and before bed.
Day 4: End of Safari
Today is the day that your goal of reaching mount. Kenya summit and exploring it comes true. The trip begins at 3:00am and lasts for roughly 3-4 hours. At around 6:00 am, just before sunrise, you’ll walk past the lower hall tarns to Point Lenana.
Arrive, explore the mountain summit, and take in the good times, incredibly beautiful scenery and pictures. After this, head down to Shipton Camp for breakfast and a short break before continuing the day’s adventure on a 5-hour descent to Old Moses Camp. The day is done after dinner and before bed.
