Aerolink Uganda Limited is a private domestic airline in Uganda that provides charter and scheduled flights to the country’s national parks. Aerolink flights start from either Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield.
The airline was established in 2012, and its headquarters are located at Entebbe International Airport.
The airline has been helpful for travelers who don’t have enough time to visit Uganda’s national parks by road. For example, it takes about 2 hours to fly to Bwindi compared to 9-11 hours by road.
Aerolink Uganda offers flights to various airstrips, including Kihihi and Kisoro for visitors going to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or Mgahinga National Park, Chobe, Pakuba, or Bugungu for Murchison Falls National Park, Kasese and Mweya for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Apoka for Kidepo Valley National Park, and Semliki Airstrip for Semuliki National Park. The airline also plans to introduce flights to Masai Mara National Park in Kenya.
Luxury travelers who want to explore Uganda’s national parks can use Aerolink for faster and more comfortable access to the parks.
Most flights take between 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the parks. Aerolink is licensed by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority.
Flying with Aerolink also gives visitors the chance to enjoy amazing views of Uganda, known as the “Pearl of Africa,” which they might not experience while traveling by road.
Aerolink flights can be booked directly on their website or through a trusted tour company that can also arrange lodges for accommodation in the national parks.
Uganda, also called the Pearl of Africa, is one of the world’s top tourist destinations.
The country is home to half of the world’s endangered mountain gorilla population, over 1,000 bird species, various wildlife, the largest freshwater lake in the world, the world’s longest river, and some of the most powerful waterfalls.
