Gorilla trekking in December – Many tourists search for the ideal time to trek mountain gorillas and the natural habitats of these primates in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Mgahinga National Park, and Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Since most tourists are on vacation and some people seek out gorilla trekking tours toward the end of the year, December is the ideal time of year to hike mountain gorillas in Uganda.
In contrast to the rainy season, when the jungle is wet and slick, this is the dry season, making gorilla trekking easier because the hill slopes are dry.
But keep in mind that Bwindi Forest is a tropical rain forest, and rain can fall at any time of day. Despite this, gorilla trekking is being conducted in Mgahinga National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Gorilla trekking is possible throughout the year in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. There are no season restrictions when it comes to gorilla trekking in Uganda, therefore December is not the only month to undertake it.
Since December is a holiday season worldwide and most tourists want to travel to different places during this time, we recommend gorilla safaris in December.
With gorilla trekking, you can celebrate your holiday season with mountain gorillas, and since some travelers have birthdays in December, come celebrate your birthday with the silverback in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga National Park.
Since they always have a limited amount of time at home, if you have vacationers who are older than 15, now is the ideal time for them to go gorilla trekking. Please take note that the dry months of the year are December through March, so you can go gorilla trekking during one of those months.
