Detailed 5-Day Akagera Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup & Kigali Tour
Meet your guide at the agreed pickup point. Transfer to your lodge to check in and have an early lunch. In the evening, go for a Kigali city tour, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, and historical sites. Explore Rwanda’s capital and learn about its culture and history. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, drive to Akagera National Park. The 2–3-hour journey takes you through Rwanda’s scenic countryside and small towns. On arrival, check into your lodge and relax. In the evening, take an optional one-hour guided nature walk around the park’s surroundings before enjoying dinner and a peaceful evening.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive
