Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up and begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The drive takes about 8–9 hours, with a short stop at the Equator for photos and coffee. You will have lunch at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara before continuing through the scenic hills of southwestern Uganda.
Arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night as you prepare for the next day’s adventure.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Buhoma and Batwa Community Walk
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters by 7:30 a.m. for a short briefing about gorilla trekking. The rangers will explain the rules, trekking procedures, and safety tips.
You will then be divided into groups and assigned a gorilla family to track in Buhoma Sector. The trek can take between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements.
Once you find them, spend one magical hour observing their behavior, watching them play, feed, and care for their young. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a Batwa cultural walk to learn about the traditions, music, and lifestyle of the Batwa people who once lived in the forest. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Rushaga
After breakfast, head to Rushaga Sector, located in the southern part of Bwindi.
You will once again join a small trekking group and venture into the forest to track another gorilla family. Each trek is different, and the experience in Rushaga offers new perspectives and encounters with the gorillas.
After spending an hour with the gorillas, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in the peaceful surroundings of Bwindi.
Day 4: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Kampala. Stop for lunch in Mbarara and take another break at the Equator for coffee and photos.
You will then continue to Entebbe International Airport for your evening flight.
