Detailed 7-Day Kenya Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Masai Mara National Reserve – Home of the Wildebeests
Masai Mara National Reserve is located in southwest Kenya. It is a wide open Savannah and home to the Big Five animals and the famous wildebeest migration. The park covers about 1,510 square kilometers, and the drive from Nairobi takes around six hours.
You will begin your journey from Nairobi, passing through Narok County and enjoying views of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, and spend the evening relaxing.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
After breakfast, head out for a full day of wildlife viewing in Masai Mara. You will see animals such as buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, zebras, lions, leopards, wildebeests, and many birds.
Lunch will be served in the park as you continue watching animals move freely in the wild. In the afternoon, go for another game drive. If the season is right, visit the Mara River to see the wildebeest migration, one of the world’s most famous wildlife events.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Masai Cultural Visit
Start your day with an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive in Masai Mara. This is a good time to spot more animals and take photos. In the afternoon, visit a Masai village to learn about their culture and daily life. Enjoy their dances, songs, and traditional customs.
Day 4: Drive to Lake Nakuru – The Land of Flamingos

Day 7: Return to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin your drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy a short game drive as you leave the park. On arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
