Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe and Canopy Walk

Upon your arrival in Kigali for your 2-Day Nyungwe Forest Tour, a representative from our company will pick you up from an agreed location, such as a hotel or restaurant.

The representative will be dressed in full company uniform and provide a short briefing about the tour.

You will then start your journey to Nyungwe National Park, check in at your booked accommodation, and have lunch.

Afterward, your driver will take you to the park offices for a short briefing by the game ranger before beginning the canopy walk.

During the walk, you may spot primates such as red-tailed monkeys and different bird species.

The canopy walk is a suspended bridge-like structure, about 70 meters above the ground and 160 meters long, offering stunning aerial views of the forest. The activity lasts about 3 hours.

Afterward, return to your accommodation to relax and prepare for the next day.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer Back to Kigali

Start the day with a hearty breakfast, then head to the park offices with your driver for a briefing. The park ranger will explain important guidelines for your safety and the protection of the wildlife.

You will be grouped into trekking teams and begin your chimpanzee trek. The trek lasts about 5 to 6 hours, with one full hour spent observing and interacting with the chimpanzees. Watch their behaviors and enjoy this unique experience.

After the trek, return to the park offices for check-out and receive your chimpanzee trekking certificate. Head back to your lodge for lunch and pack your belongings for the journey back to Kigali.

Upon reaching Kigali, you can choose to take an optional short city tour, depending on your arrival time and your scheduled departure.
