Detailed 5-Day Northern Ethiopia Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Flight to Bahirdar
We shall head to the airport and then take a flight to Bahirdar.
When we get there, we shall check into the lodge and then straight away take a boat cruise on Lake Tana.
This cruise will lead us to the monasteries here of the medieval times: UraKidaneMehret and Azwa Maryam.
We shall then return and then head to the popular Blue Nile which is part of the Nile and the longest river in the world.
We shall then have our lunch and then head back to the lodge to spend the evening at leisure.

Day 2. Drive to Gondar (Camelot of Africa)
We are driving about 185 Kilometers to day to the township of Gondar.
This rive will take us to the Amhara region which will allow us to interact with the beautiful landscape of the area.
This area is also a link to the Simien Mountains. We shall have a chance to see the former castle of this area which houses the emperors of the area.
We shall visit the Fasilides’ pool, where the Timkat Celebrations are held.

Day 3. Day Trip To Simien Mountains National Park
We shall drive to one of the UNESCO world heritage sites of the country, the Simien Mountains.
The drive to Debark from Gondar will give you stunning views.
The mountains are famous for housing many of the endemic wildlife species of the country.
Some of the endemics you will expect to see here are the Ethiopian wolf, the Gelada baboons, Walia Ibex and the wild goat.
The endemic bird you expect to see here is the Thick-billed Raven and Wattled Ibis.
We shall drive back to Gondar in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 4. Drive to Lalibela (Eight Wonders of the World)
We shall have breakfast and then head to another UNESCO world heritage site.
This time we shall be heading to the northern sector of the country.
Lalibela is known for the rock churches and it is also known as the New Jerusalem.
The rock church here are also known as the Eight wonders of the world.
They way they were built is a thing that will marvel you.
We shall also visit the Southern Eastern Cluster churches: Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanual, and Bet Abba Libanos.

Day 5. Visit of Lalibela Churches Then Flight To Addis
We shall begin our adventure today with a visit to the North Western cluster churches of Bet MedhaneAlem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael & Bet Golgotha.
We shall then Visit the monument of St. George who is the patron of Ethiopia.
We shall then head to the airport and then take flight back to Addis Ababa.
