Day 1: Arrival & Pick-up at the Airport, Drive to Windhoek City

You will meet your Namibia tour guide at the airport and have a short briefing about this long African safari.

Leave the airport for Windhoek, Namibia’s biggest city situated in Central Namibia on the Khomas Highland plateau at an altitude of 1700m.

It is suitably located, making it an ideal spot to begin your journey to the beautiful desert or depart back home after exploring the wonders of Namibia.

Windhoek also offers excellent city tours, thanks to its vibrant cultures and traditions.

Day 2: Transfer to Sossusvlei

Depart from your comfortable hotel facility for Sossusvlei and en-route; expect to make a stopover at Rehoboth.

It will be at this spot where you will have a bite of snacks and also some refreshments.

You will continue up to the final destination where you will embark on a Sundowner drive to Elim Dune.

Day 3: Explore Sossusvlei

After breakfast, head off to Namib-Naukluft National Park and Sossusvlei sand dunes in Namibia for a long day excursion.

At Sossusvlei, the main areas of interest include Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Deadvlei, and Big Daddy.

You will have brief stopovers to allow you to capture great pictures and also experience the country’s dunes.

At Namib-Naukluft NP, you will get exposed to diverse mammal species such as black rhinos, gemsbok, giraffes, springbok, buffaloes, elephants, and others.

Day 4: To Swakopmund

Wake up early, meet your tour leader ready to exit Sossusvlei.

Spend about 5 hours driving to Swakopmund and arrive early at Walvis Bay where you will purchase some lunch.

Afterward, proceed to Swakopmund where you will check in and also embark on a guided quad biking and sandboarding -2 hours’ experience, then you settle for dinner and a night stay at the pre-booked lodge.

Day 5: Tour Etosha National Park

It is time to depart Swakopmund for Etosha National Park – (ENP).

Arrive early and have lunch then embark on an afternoon game drive at ENP.

On a game drive, expect to get exposed to varied wildlife species such as elephants, springbok, zebras, rhinos, giraffes, lions, and many bird species.

Day 6: Another Full Day in Etosha

With an experienced guide, set off for yet another unforgettable full-day wildlife viewing excursion.

You will have exposure to more wildlife, including the ones you missed the previous day.

The popular wildlife species to look out for at the Etosha NP include leopards, lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and birds that account for over 340 species.

Lunch will be enjoyed inside the park, and you return to the lodge only for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Tsumeb

Have a tasty breakfast and, after that, start your journey to Tsumeb, the biggest town in the Oshikoto area, and also lies nearby Etosha NP.

It is in this area where several minerals can be found, and key areas to visit include the Tsumeb mine and Museum.

Day 8: To Kavango River

Kavango River is the 4th longest river system in Southern Africa and runs up to 1600km.

It starts its journey from Angola and descends southeastwards into Namibia, creating the Angolan-Namibian border.

At this scenic river, expect breathtaking views of the cascading Popa Waterfalls, and then the river proceeds to Botswana, forming the popular Okavango delta.

In the surrounding area, there is stunning vegetation and diverse wildlife for you to catch a glimpse of while on your afternoon game drive.

Day 9: Leave Kavango for Maun

Set off from Kavango for Maun, a renowned tourism capital of Botswana, and also an administrative hub of Ngamiland District.

This tourism city is also where several safari and air-charter operations are based, and they run trips into the Okavango Delta.

Arrive early and check in at your accommodation before embarking on a 2-hour Mokoro (traditional canoe) excursion in the Okavango Delta.

Day 10: Explore Thamalakane River

A hefty breakfast will be followed by your visit to Maun’s Thamalakane River that begins its journey from the Northern side of Botswana, at the Southern end of the Okavango Delta.

At the Okavango delta, several camps are widespread at the Moremi Game Reserve where a huge profusion of rhinos, lions, and hippos are inhabited.

A game drive will be enjoyed -full day at Thamalakane River, and you return to the lodge for relaxation.

Another area of interest at Maun is the Ndabe museum, home to distinct art, history, and cultural exhibits.

Day 11: Transfer to Moremi Game Reserve

Pick up early in the morning and drive to the Khwai area of the Okavango, the Northern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve.

Arrive early, and you will have an unforgettable evening game drive.

Your sightings will include giraffes, elephants, zebras, and more.

Day 12: Explore Moremi Game Reserve on a Walking Excursion

A delicious cup of tea/coffee to be enjoyed early in the morning, and after that, set off for a guided walking excursion around the nearby village.

You will observe and learn how women do basket weaving, and carpenters as they are busy with their work.

You may purchase some items for your own memories.

Day 13: To Kasane

Depart from Moremi for Kasane, one of the biggest towns in Botswana.

At Kasane, expect to come across a huge profusion of elephants that migrate close to the city area.

You will have a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River which comes with great sightings of large herds of elephants, hippos, and more.

Days 14 to 15: Game Drives in Chobe NP

Enjoy mesmerizing game drive excursions in Chobe National Park.

Look out for the park’s diverse wildlife species, including wild dogs, lions, leopards, blue wildebeest, bushbucks, giraffes, cheetahs, birds (over 560 species of birds exist in this park alone), and hippos.

Day 16: Victoria Falls Tour

Leave Chobe for Victoria Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls and natural wonders.

Located on the Southern banks of R. Zambezi, Victoria Waterfalls is 1700m wide and has varying heights of 80 to 108m.

Expect the best of sightseeing and also pay a visit to the African arts, crafts, and cultural sites.

Day 17: Explore Victoria Falls

Have a great moment exploring Victoria Falls on a guided walk for 3 hours.

This comes with a photography experience, detailed information about the falls, and its formation.

Day 18: Departure

Pick up at the hotel, and you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport.

Check-in at the airport, clear with the authorities, and later take a flight back home, marking the end of the 18-memorable African safari.
