Uganda and Congo provide the most affordable gorilla trekking in Africa, a gorilla permits in Uganda costs $600 and $400 in Congo with Rwanda offering the most expensive permits at $1500. Congo also offers discounted gorilla permits in the low moths at only $200. Uganda used to offer a discount for gorilla trekking in the low seasons of October and November and April to May but that changed when Rwanda raised the price for their gorilla permits from $750 to $1500.

One of the cheapest ways to go for gorilla trekking in Uganda is by booking in cheap lodges; Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is made up of four sectors that is Rushagga sector, Ruhijja sector, Buhoma sector and Nkuringo sector. All this sectors have accommodation in budget, mid range and luxurious. You can book accommodation in a budget lodge to avoid your trekking becoming costly but you must note that Buhoma sector has the most luxurious lodges.
Uganda is an all year round destination for tourists however, some months offer the best experiences than other months the best time for gorilla trekking is during the dry season of June to September and December to February.
