Witnessing November’s Wildebeest Migration – A Tanzanian Spectacle

The planet’s impressive event, the “wildebeest migration,” also takes place in the month of November, when the dry season has ceased, and the wet season has started. Therefore, raincoats and jackets are recommended, not forgetting the gum boots to prevent travelers from being stained by the muddy ground. During this period, the herds move to the southern short grass plains in Serengeti National Park with their young ones. This event is mesmerizing, especially in how these animal species split up. The first herd settles in Central Serengeti, followed by the second shift that settles in either Kogatende or Moru localities. These are the areas that tourists should focus on since, in mid-November, migration is rare. Therefore, it’s advisable to mix your safari with other safaris like the Ngorongoro Crater, where the first human remains or fossils are believed to have been discovered. Tarangire National Park is also a fantastic spot with a variety of animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, snakes, lizards, rhinos, gazelles, monkeys, and more.

Accommodations where you can rest while in this locality include Tarangire Totilis Camp, Acacia Tarangire Luxury Camp, Oliver’s Camp, Lemala Mpingo Ridge, Elewana Tarangire Treetops, Tarangire Simba Lodge, Maralodge Tented Lodge, and many more. Other safari options include beaches and Lake Natron National Park (activities like fishing, camping, and game drives take place in this park).

There are a number of hotels that welcome all tourists with well-equipped facilities like bathrooms, private balconies, spacious parking areas, gardens, classy swimming pools, deluxe restaurants, minibars, campfire areas, and these include Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas, Lemala Nanyukie, Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp, One Nature Nyaruswiga Serengeti Lodge, Namiri Plains, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, Dunia Camp, Serengeti Kifaru Tented Lodge, Singita Sabora Tented Camp, Serengeti Bushtops Luxury Camp, Olakira Camp, Serengeti Tented Camp, Mbalageti Tented Camp, and more.

There are a variety of activities you can take part in, including interacting with the local people referred to as the primitive Masai, who are known for their cultural practices of wearing minimal clothing, piercings, and living in grass-thatched houses surrounded with mud. Many travelers visit and take photographs of these amazing features. Don’t forget the diverse bird species all over Serengeti National Park and camping, among others.

Don’t tell me how educated you are; tell me how much you have traveled. Expand your experience today from Serengeti National Park and enjoy the paradise in Africa.
