8 DAYS SOMALILAND EASTERN TOUR.
Embark on a journey to explore the Sool and Sanoag regions in the East close to the Somalia border. Travel through Somalia’s remote Eastern region and discover the beautiful scenery of the Daallo mountain area.
Day 1
Get picked up and transferred to your hotel
Depending on the time of your arrival, you will have the opportunity to explore Hargeisa
Once you have rested, you can go for a leisurely stroll in the center of Hargeisa
to get a feel for the locals and
the town.
Day 2
Begin your day in Hargeisa with a visit to the Civil War Monument and Central Market. Then, you’ll visit the most significant rock art site in Africa, Laas geel. The rich colors and well-preserved stones are thought to be around 10,000 years old. Follow Continue to Berbera, where you’ll be driven to your hotel. Here, you can relax on the beach and go for a dip in the sea as the sun sets. Our beach hotel offers snorkeling, diving and boat rides.
Day 3
After breakfast, you will visit the ancient town of Berbera, particularly the old quarter, which is full of Ottoman and British architecture. After the tour, we will leave Berbera and make our way to the small town of Sheikh, in the mountains. Driving through Sheikh Mountains will be an enjoyable experience due to the beautiful scenery and the warm weather. Near the end of the day, we will make our way further east to the second largest city in the country, Burao.
Day 4
In Burao, you will walk around and discover the town. From Burao, we take a long road to the capital of the Saanag Province, Erigavo. Overnight in Erigavo
Day 5
The mountains of Daallo are over 2400 meters above sea level. The mountains of Daallo, a green paradise of Somaliland, have a long thick forest, and you will be able to see them from the top of the mountain. You will spend the night in the town of Errigavo.
Day 6
Today we are going to take a long journey back to burao. Before we go, you will take some time to relax. In burao, you will be driven to your hotel.
Day 7
Head to Hargeisa, the capital. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will continue exploring Hargeisa.
Day 8
You will be transferred to the airport for your deputure.
