Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to the Hotel/Lodge in Windhoek

This special day is dedicated to meeting and greeting your Namibia guide, and after that, you will set off for Windhoek city.

Have a leisurely moment at the hotel and also make the best use of your day to purchase some essentials for your next day’s road trip.

At your leisure, enjoy a delicious dinner and retire for the night.

Day 2: Visit Okonjima Private Nature Reserve (OPNR)

Embark on a 3-hour drive North of Windhoek, and your areas of interest will be Okonjima and the AfriCat Foundation.

OPNR is most popular for leopard encounters, brown hyenas, and AfriCat Foundation – a non-profit organization that plays a significant role in protecting the country’s large carnivores.

The key areas of interest include leopard and cheetah viewing.

Day 3: Connect to Etosha National Park

Depart from Okonjima and head Northwards through Otjiworongo, Otavi, and Tsumeb, and later access Etosha National Park through the Lindequist gate on the Eastern part of the park close to Namutoni.

Check in at your pre-booked safari lodge, enjoy delicious meals, and relax in the afternoon.

Day 4: A Full Day Game Viewing at Etosha NP

Leave your accommodation for a memorable game drive.

The morning game viewing allows you to enjoy the sight of diverse wildlife as they become active for the day.

The day’s sightings at Etosha National Park include Kudus, Oryx, jackals, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and lions, etc.

Settle for lunch and proceed with the afternoon game viewing which marks the last session of exploring Etosha NP.

Day 5: Rundu

Set off from Etosha for Rundu and Kavango area, driving through the countryside’s amazing landscapes.

Rundu lies in the Northeastern edge of Namibia and features as a major administrative and economic hub in the region.

Arrive early and check in at your lodge for relaxation and refreshments.

Day 6: Travel to Kongola

In the morning, you will be picked up and transferred to Nkasa Rupara National Park (Mamili National Park).

Activities covered on this day include a game drive and boat cruise.

The common species of animals to encounter at Nkasa Rupara National Park; zebras, lions, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeest, and more.

Day 7: Mamili NP

Leave the lodge to enjoy a memorable game drive combined with an afternoon cultural excursion at the Living Museum.

At Mamili National Park, expect to come across buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, zebras, and others.

Day 8: Transfer to Botswana

After breakfast, start your road trip to Kasane, an area where four Southern African countries all meet, that is Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia.

Chobe National Park isn’t far from this point, home to a huge profusion of elephants.

This is an ideal location for you to enjoy a guided game drive and a sunset boat cruise.

Day 9: Chobe NP Tour

Wake up early in the morning to catch up with the sunrise and afternoon game viewing sessions through the wilderness of Chobe National Park.

At Chobe, you will have great views of wildlife, including lions, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and bird species.

Late in the afternoon, you will have a boat cruise to catch a glimpse of aquatic species.

Day 10: To Victoria Falls

Embark on a day trip to Victoria Waterfalls from Kasane but comes with stopovers for photography.

With an experienced guide, explore the unique history of the Victoria Falls and also get insight into the various floral, faunal, avifaunal species that live in the area.

There is also a chance to enjoy additional experiences like zip-lining, gorge swing, or a heli flip over the falls.

Day 11: Explore Nata

Proceed from Kasane to Nata and check in at your pre-booked lodge or hotel.

Afterward, you will have a short excursion around the accommodation or enjoy a sundowner drive/chill at the pool.

Day 12: Transfer to Maun

At leisure, have a tasty breakfast and leave for Maun Village in Northwestern Botswana.

Maun is located around the Southern side of Okavango swamp, Northeast of Lake Ngami.

It is the hub of safari and game industry for the Okavango Delta area and also Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 13-14: Explore Moremi Game Reserve

Set off for Moremi Game Reserve safari, a destination that will enrich you with remarkable sights of mammals and bird species.

More than 500 bird species, both forest and aquatic avifaunal species, thrive within this reserve, plus other diverse wildlife such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, impalas, and many more.

Day 15: Drive to Ghanzi

Pick up at your accommodation in Moremi Game Reserve and drive through Maun to Ghanzi.

It will be a long day drive, and once you reach Central Kalahari Game Reserve, expect the best of rhino tracking, game drives, bushman experiences, or sunset drives.

Day 16: Drive to Windhoek, 550km

Leave Ghanzi for Windhoek, about a 550km drive.

Enjoy lunch en-route and continue on a scenic drive to Windhoek.

Day 17: Departure at Hosea Kutako Airport

After breakfast, start your journey to Hosea Kutako International Airport.

Get to the airport early enough, clear with the authorities, and later take a flight back home, marking the end of the 17-day safari in Namibia and Botswana.
