The Etosha National Park Plains

Day 1: Transfer from Windhoek to Sossusvlei

Pick up at the hotel or Windhoek International Airport and set off for Sossusvlei.

You will navigate via the stunning Khomas Hochland highlands, descend down the breathtaking escarpments to the extensive Namib Desert.

Have a brief stopover for a picnic lunch, and by mid-afternoon, you would be at the lodge to check in.

Expected activities to do today include visiting the Centuries-old Sesriem Canyon and towering red Sossusvlei dunes.

You will be accompanied by a well-trained guide.

Alternatively, you can just have a relaxed moment while enjoying the beautiful desert views at the lodge.

Day 2: Sossusvlei excursion

Start your day with a hefty breakfast, and after, transfer to Namib Naukluft National Park with a well-trained guide from Namibia.

With your well-trained guide, set off safely before the sunrise and expect to experience the dunes in the soft, shadowy morning light. Namib Desert features some of the world’s highest free-standing dunes.

With your experienced guide, you will have deep insight into the desert and how they formed, as well as learn how different species are adapted to the desert’s conditions, including plants and wildlife.

Enjoy a picnic brunch under one of the shady camel-thorn trees, and you will proceed with exploring some of Namib Naukluft NP features like Sossusvlei, Elim Dune, Dead Vlei, and others.

After, get back to the lodge for relaxation and preparation for the next day’s activities.

Day 3: Hot air balloon safari & transfer to Swakopmund

Enjoy the sunrise hot air balloon excursion over Namib-Naukluft and Sossusvlei dunes.

After, head to Swakopmund, and en-route, expect the captivating views of the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons.

Navigate via coastal Walvis Bay as you head northwards to Swakopmund.

While you will have a good moment exploring the town and waterfront prior to having your dinner at one of the finest restaurants where you will have a taste of seafood.

Day 4: Explore Swakopmund – adventure capital of Namibia

With your trained guide, set off to Walvis Bay for a memorable kayaking experience and also have a chance to witness the Cape fur seals, pelicans, dolphins, flamingos, several seabirds, etc.

Get the best of a short drive to Pelican Point and not to miss the lighthouse.

Alternatively, you may embark on a motorized boat and enjoy savor snacks of fresh oysters which you will wash down with local sparkling wine.

You will explore Walvis Bay’s waterfront area prior to getting back to Swakopmund for the afternoon relaxation at your accommodation.

Other exciting experiences worth including on your Swakopmund excursion; quad-biking, camel rides, and solo skydiving, etc.

Day 5: To Damaraland

Leave Swakopmund for Damaraland, one of the spectacular and diverse sites in Namibia.

Navigate via the country’s tallest mountain – Brandberg (2573m), a spot where you can enjoy a clear view of wildlife and extensive scenery.

If time allows, there is an option to visit the prehistoric Twyfelfontein rock engravings – UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Namibia.

You will have a night stay in one of the best accommodations in the Damaraland area.

Day 6: Day excursion in Damaraland

Embark on an unforgettable game drive, and your insights will include exploring the river valleys and also look out for diverse wildlife, especially the desert-adapted elephants.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en-route, and then proceed with your exploration to some of the local attractions.

After, get back to the lodge/camp and undertake a guided nature walk.

Day 7: To Southern Etosha National Park

Today, set off from Damaraland to Southern Etosha NP.

Get here early enough so that you have an exciting afternoon game drive in your comfortable safari car.

Day 8-9: Explore Etosha National Park

Spend 2 days full of ultimate guided game-viewing experience in Etosha National Park, home to over 114 mammals, 340 species of birds, and others.

Your expected sightings at Etosha include cheetahs, warthogs, zebras, hyenas, Kudus, elands, gemsbok, black-faced impalas, leopards, honey badgers, and others.

Your game viewing includes the morning and afternoon session inclusive of lunch in the wilderness.

Day 10: Transfer to Windhoek

Depart from Etosha National Park, about 4-5 hours’ drive.
