5 DAYS IN NORTHERN MOROCCO FROM TANGIER.
Experience a 5-day, 4-night tour of North Morocco starting in Tangier. Visit the Cape Spartel and Hercules Cave, cross the Rif mountains, take a stroll in the beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen, explore the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis, and take in the sights of Fes and Meknes. Visit the highlights of Rabat, the capital of Morocco, and end the tour in the city of Casablanca.

Day 1
We collect you from your accommodation, airport or port in Tangier, also known as “the bride of the north”. Tangier is situated on the northwest side where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off the Cape of Spartel.

On the first day, we will visit the beautiful city of Tangier, the cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel, with free time for lunch.From there, we will drive inland to Chefchaouen, passing through the town of Tetouan and through the Rif mountains, with stops for spectacular views. You will stay overnight at a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 2
After breakfast, we will visit the beautiful city of Chefchaouen, also known as “Achaoun” which means “horn” in Berber. Located in northwest Morocco’s Rif mountains, Chefchaouen is renowned for its blue and white painted buildings and alleyways. We will take a walk in its charming old Medina, which has many authentic blue doors that will make your photos more stylish. After lunch, you will have free time for lunch. Afterwards, you can take a hike to the Spanish mosque, which is located on a high point and offers a spectacular view of the entire blue city. After that, you will return to your hotel.

Day 3
After breakfast, explore the beautiful streets of the blue city of Chefchaouen and then drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, which is well preserved and recognized as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESC0). It has many beautiful mosaics scattered around, as well as beautiful ancient pillars and arches. After walking around the ruins, we drive 30 km to one of the imperial cities, Meknes, which is the capital of the Ismaili people. Here, we will visit Bab Al Mansour, Sahriy Souani Basin, Royal stables, Granary and the Moulay Ismail mausoleum. After that, we will drive to Fes, where we will stay for the night in a Riad.

Day 4
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your lodging in Fes to visit Fes city. Fes city is one of the imperial cities in Morocco, as well as the cultural and religious center of the country.

We begin the day at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the well preserved medieval Medina, which is listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The entrance to the old Medina is the Blue gate (Bab Boujloud).

You will enter Medina with the help of a local guide. You will visit the Medrasa Bouanania, and the fountain of Najjarine, the Tanneries, and finally the quaraouin mosque and university (the oldest university in the world). After Medina, we will leave the Medina and visit the Jewish Quarter “the Mellah”. Finally, we will drive to an old fort for a panoramic view of Medina and Fes city. We will return to your riad.

Day 5
After breakfast, we will leave Fes and make our way to Rabat, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and the country’s current capital. Located on the northwest side of the country, you will visit some of the city’s highlights, such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Muhammad V, and the kasbah of oudaya. We will then have some free time for lunch before heading to the economic capital of Morocco, Casablanca. Depending on your flight time, we may visit the Hassan ll mosque, the biggest mosque in Morocco, before dropping you off at the airport and ending the tour.
