15-DAY BAOBABS, LEMURS, AND RAINFOREST.
Madagascar welcomes you to explore and hold in high regard her stunning landscapes covered by lush vegetation, thick Forests characterized with big trees with thick bucks like baobabs, and remarkable crop fields. You stand a chance of seeing the biggest carnivorous mammal of Madagascar known as Fossa along with the famous lemur katta (Maki), without forgetting the biggest lemur of Madagascar called Indri-Indri during the visit to the National Park of Andasibe.

Day 1
Your pilot will land at the international airport of Tana from where you will be met by your English-speaking tour guide and will welcome you. After all formalities and money exchange, You will be safely driven to your hotel, which is located in the city center where you will be able to rest and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2
Today marks the beginning of real adventure as you will be transferred southwards to Antsirabe. The journey is full of interesting things ranging from red mudded houses to stunning landscapes. You’ll have a stop over at a pot manufacturing plant where you’ll have been invited. Malagasy pots are made in aluminum. Later on you’ll proceed to the hotel where you will rewind and rest.

Day 3
After a monthwatering breakfast, you head out for an exciting Rickshaw city tour upon your invitation. After the visit, you will take national road 34 to reach Miandrivazo. As you proceed with the journey, you will have a stop over in Betafo where you will make a hike and visit a school. You will then continue to Miandrivazo in the late afternoon.

Day 4
You will wake up to prepare for the journey to Kirindy. Several stops are planned to stretch your legs and admire the beautiful landscapes of the western part of Madagascar. During the late evening, you’ll go for a nocturnal visit to Kirindy reserve where you will encounter several species of microbes (berthae and murinus), snakes and the famous Hypogeomys antimena also known as Vositse (giant rat), an endemic species of the western part of Madagascar.

Day 5
After a delicious breakfast, you will set off for a visit to kirindy reserve. You will meet the famous Cryptoprocta ferox also known under the name of Fossa, many species of lemurs like the sifaka (Propithecus vereauxii), red-fronted brown lemur (Eulemur fulvus rufus), several species of couas (Coua cristata and couas gigas), the Paradyse flycatcher, the famous narrow-striped mongoose (Mungotictis decemlineata). In terms of flora, you will find baobabs here, young palissandres. After the incredible visit with breathtaking views, You ought to go back to Morondava. You will topup your afternoon, by passing by the famous avenue of the baobabs, where you will be able to feel the mystical atmosphere which reigns under the Malagasy sky. Don’t miss out on the picture of the “Grandidieri adansonia” which belongs to one of the seven species of baobab trees in Madagascar. The beautiful sunset will help send off your evening with it’s ray’s casting at the green vegetation giving you an extraordinary view that sticks on your mind for decades.

Day 6
It’s basically a day for returning back to the colonial city of Antsirabe and the journey is made more memorable by having several photo stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery and have the opportunity to stretch your legs. After some hours of continued driving, you will reach Antsirabe city where you will settle.

Day 7
After eating breakfast, you will start off for a journey to Ambalavao that carries today’s new experiences. On reaching there, you can participate in a cultural and interesting city tour where you will visit a paper factory that produces paper from the Havoha tree. This kind of production is originally from Arab businessmen. You will then check in to your hotel and you have all the rights to decide on what to do for the rest of the day

Day 8
Today’s main destination is Ranohira, but along the way we shall have a stop over to visit Anja Park, where the kattas can be found. Afterwards, we proceed to Ranohira. On the way to Ihosy, you will experience an impressive change from the terraced highlands to the dry region of the south at the huge granite formation “Gateway of the South”. We will pass by the Bishop’s Hat, a holy place of the people living here, after which we reach today’s final destination, the village of Ranohira in the Isalo mountains, via the treeless plateau of Ihorombe. The day will end and you’ll set it off while gazing at the impressive sunset from the window of Isalo as you experience the unique evening atmosphere at the window of Isalo and its surroundings.

Day 9
Ranohira is mainly Known for the Isalo National Park where you will go for a day trip through the sandstone formations. The rugged mountain landscape with bizarre rock that make way from deep gorges to the crystal clear water that end up making small ponds of water can make your day a very perfect one. formations and caves are also very attractive so immerse yourself in a world everyone else dreams to stay in. Cool, fresh air passes you while in the calm environment characterized by a mountain landscape with rocks that shimmer in color with the gorges and deep canyons carry the water during the dry season and are considered the irrigation of the Park. After the tiring, though spectacular hike, you are cooled and rewinded in a beautifully laid-out, natural swimming pool.

Day 10
Another day for adventure leads us to Ranomafana, where the famous national park is located. Ranomafana is one of the last mountain forests in the world and offers all nature lovers many spectacular and in forgettable views. Be sure to encounter many animal and plant species in Ranomafana National Park after which The day is topped up with a night hike.

Day 11
Don’t leave yet, there is an impressive visit to the national park of Ranomafana being proposed to you today. On a walking safari, you’ll discover more about this park that hosts various species of lemurs like the golden bamboo lemur ‘Hapalemur aureus’, the famous Varecia variegata also known as varika as well as the mantella and Trachelophorus giraffe. After all this you will depart in the direction of Antsirabe where you will have several stops planned to stretch the legs and enjoy the landscape. You will arrive in the late afternoon.

Day 12
Today, you will leave for Andasibe, towards the east where the Perinet Reserve is located and You’ll arrive in the afternoon.There are many species of lemurs active during the day and night. In the late evening, you can go for a night hike in the forest searching for nocturnal animals like Frogs, chameleons and other nocturnal animals will accompany you in their nocturnal activities.

Day 13
After a tasty breakfast, head out to enjoy gazing at wildlife and get a feel for the natural environment. At Andasibe National Park. While here you will look for the indris, the largest living lemur. Apart from the indri, you will admire the biodiversity that the park offers. Endemic plants as well as other animal species like geckos and other lemurs are also worth seeing in the park. You will go for lunch after which you will proceed to the famous Vakona Reserve, this small reserve is pleasant to visit. You will discover an island with lemurs and a park with crocodiles. The lemurs are used to tourists and let themselves be approached. you will also discover other species of lemurs such as the brown lemurs.

Day 14
After enjoying your breakfast, you will return to the capital. On the way, you will have an hour’s visit to the private farm Peyrieras “Madagascar Exotic”. Madagascar, hosts about 3000 different species of butterflies and the biggest butterfly on earth is the comet with a wingspan of 30 cm, which you can admire very closely today with a little luck. You will have a chance of having a glimpse at almost all chameleon species of Madagascar as well as lizards, snakes, bats and other animals. You return back to your hotel in the afternoon.

Day 15.
Today marks the end of journeys full of beautiful adventures and stops.Before your departure, you are invited to an informative visit to the Andohalo Photography Museum where you will discover the history of the highlands during the royal era. After the tour, you will visit the colorful local markets where you can buy some souvenirs. Finally, you will be driven to the Airport from where you will fly home and
reminiscences from Madagascar’s natural environment will be with you..
