10-DAY BEACH AND LEMUR EXPLORER.
These 10 days of discovering new adventures are a two in one experience in which you explore nature and wildlife at Andasibe national Park where you will be able to see the different lemur species, acompaned by beach experience at Nosy Komba after which you will rest and relax peacefully in the most luxurious accomodations around the tourist destinations.
Day 1-3
Among the three days, the very first day introduces you to Nosy Be Archipelago and the first place you will be is the Nosy Be airport where you will be met and warmly welcomed by a representative who will transfer you to hell city from where you will proceed by boat to Tsara Komba Lodge. You will spend the next three nights in Nosy Komba( lemur island), the most beautiful island in the Nosy Be Archipelago. There is a wide range of activities you can freely engage in while at the hotel or at the beach ranging from
visits to the local villages,snorkeling, beach volleyball, beach racket ball, badminton, frisbees or canoe trips, reading or parlor games.
Day 4
Subsequent to a delicious breakfast, you check out of Tsara Komba hotel and from here you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your domestic flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport & will head to Andasibe through the green and lush vegetation which opens up the humid part of Madagascar’s numerous primary forests and lakes along with landscape consisting of rice fields, waterfalls and scanty forest stations. As you progress with the journey, you will encounter villages of the Merina people on the rock side of the mountain. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel room and thereafter you’ll go for a night walk in the Andasibe area where you will be able to witness the night active lemurs and other nocturnals.
Day 5
In the early morning you will be greeted by a tasty breakfast after which you will take a morning visit to the Andasibe reserve, be sure to encounter many new things and animal species that call it a home. Your guide will help you to search for the indri and largest lemurs on the island as you witness other surprising features like a wide variety of orchids, canopy, and endemic animals like chameleons, tenrecs, and many birds that make this reserve a unique place to find Flora and fauna in its full capacity. The afternoon is occupied by a visit to V.O.I.I.M.A community reserve where you will find a variety of wildlife, ranging from brown lemurs, indri, chameleons, geckos and birds
Day 6
After having breakfast at the hotel, we head back to Tana but along the way we will have a stopover for lunch at the Reptile & Butterfly farm (lunch at own expense). On arrival in Antananarivo the capital of Madagascar also known as the ‘City of Thousands’ and it is where the first King started to unify the different kingdoms of the island. You will spend the afternoon touring the city after which you’ll check into your luxurious hotel in the city.
Day 7
After a flavorful breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred back to Ivato airport for your two-hour flight to the south-eastern coast of Madagascar specifically to fort Dauphin. Upon landing,you will be welcomed by yourguide who will take you for lunch in Fort Dauphin, and then drive you for the rest of the three hour journey to Antandroy Spiny Forest (Charter flight from Fort Dauphin is available at an additional cost). You will be astonished by the stunning landscapes that host rice fields, lush tropical vegetation and thick forests, after which you will encounter the dry arid region of sisal plantations and Spiny forest. By evening, you will be a citizen at your luxury tented camp where you will relax while taking in the beautiful scenery across the mandrare river.
Day 8
Your morning will be greeted with a tasty breakfast after which you will head out for a hallowed Antandroy forest tour. The tour involves crossing the river on foot to observe lemurs and many bird species ,tombs of the Antandroy ancestors, and your guide will explain the culture of ancestor worship in detail. After the breathtaking trip you will head back to the camp and Lunch will be served in buffet style. After lunch you are free to relax and time is spent at your leisure either enjoying the tranquility of the river or you can engage yourself in a variety of activities including a trip to the giant sand dunes of Lake Anony, watching the sunset at the baobabs, night walks (gallery and spiny forest), watching various species of lemurs and birds, watching traditional dancers, and a visit to the village or local school.
Day 9
On this day you can decide on what to do with your time among the exciting activities around your accommodation as suggested by your guide according to your interests. Mornings and late afternoons are the favorable time for these activities to avoid being worn out by the scorching sun during mid day. The camp stands almost in the middle of delightful forests where with permission, you can be guided and explore the true meaning of natural beauty.
Day 10
This is your last day of the trip and bird time to bid farewell to the beautiful forests that wild animals including lemurs call a home and the lovely beaches. You will have to head back to Fort Dauphin from where you proceed to the airport for your flight to Antananarivo, where you will continue your onward journey back home carrying beautiful rembrences that will stay with you for life.
