The Uganda wildlife campsite is situated in the southern sector of Murchison falls national park on top of the magnificent falls overlooking scenic park. The staffs at the campsite are very welcoming making you feel at home.

There is also a a camping ground but those interested in camping should come with their own camping equipments, a campfire is always set up every evening and there’s story telling by a well experienced guide.

The mighty river Nile bisects the park forcing itself through a narrow gorge on the rift escarpment forming the scenic powerful waterfalls. You can also hike to the top of the falls. The boat cruise normally takes 2 to 3 hours; you will be able to see several wildlife like elephants quenching thirst at the river banks and a lot of water birds chattering in the air.

Chimpanzee tracking

Chimpanzee trekking at Murchison falls can be done at Kaniyo pabidi and Budongo forests. Chimpanzees are human close relatives sharing about 98 percent DNA with humans. Having an encounter with these apes can be one of your life’s memorable experiences.

How to get there

Murchison falls national park is located about 300 kilometres from Kampala. You can reach the park in 4-5 hours drive. There are also standard chartered flights from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield flying to Chobe or Pakuba airstrip in the park.
